Why do you think they'll continue to bring it forward?
Gives them the opportunity to squeeze more games in. Things like the Qatar world cup etc will continue to happen (due to greed realistically) and I suspect you'll find July starts will become more prevalent in the next decade.

I was surprised to see Paul Tierney ref our League Two game against Cheltenham. According to Transfermarkt he reffed 25 Premier League games in 2023-24 but no games at any level in 2024-25. I think he might have been confined to VAR duties only after getting an injury.

Strange that the game will be replayed in full, given that Blackburn were 1-0 up after 79 minutes. Apparently the red card against Jacob Greaves will stand but Ipswich will be allowed to play 11 men in the rescheduled game.
That's a bit silly really. Feel for Blackburn on that one, especially if they don't get the result this time.

Poor decision imo. Yes 79 mins gone ..yeah ok not enough in itself but stretching it...but the fact Ipswich were also down to 10 men should also be considered.

What is the minute amount before they could consider it long enough played? 79 feels a long way into the game.

Does it also change based on the result? Had Blackburn been up 3-0 and Ipswich were down to 10, it'd feel even more stupid starting from scratch.

Yeah they consider mins and score and other circumstances at the time.

Here's a weird thing. League 2 Barrow play their home games at Barrow-in-Furness, Cumbria. But during the week they train 100 miles away at the training ground of F.C. United of Manchester.

Gelhardt on fire by the looks of it.

Relegated teams struggling. Still must be feeling some pressure at Saints and McKenna struggling with a decent squad at Ipswich. Leicester one win in seven

Wilder seems to be doing well at SU and now has then out of bottom three

I think all forwards in our system will be on fire this year to be honest!! Scoring something like 2 goals a game! Bizarre that the clash between us and Cov finished 0-0...

A fun game at the Coventry Arena. Watford have probably been the better team but find themselves 3-0 down at half time. And down to 10 men after a DOGSO.

As a long-suffering Coventry fan for more years than I care to remember, I'm really enjoying this start to the season. Although it's probably going to end in tears, Coventry being Coventry.
Nah you're going up.
