looking at how we drafted over the past few years and results have occurred. ever thought what if?...

People say we were wrong choosing Watts over Nic Nat but truth be told if did we may have won a game or 2 more last year and miss the first 2 picks this year...
and im loving the fact we have both Scully and trengove...

or even go back a year b4 that and we lost to Carlton in that joke of the a game.. we could have ended up with Kreuzer and got the first 2 the next year..

I know theres alot of wat if's and its a bit fair fetched but these are the combination we could have ..

Combination 1
Kreuzer, Nic Nat, Watts and possibility Rohan
Combination 2
Morton, Watts, Scully, Trengove
Combination 3
Morton, Nic Nat, scully or trengove

I started this topic as People bag us about how we have drafted but at the end of the day im pretty happy with the outcome...

Im quite happy with how we drafted to be honest.

I am genuinely confident that JW will become a great player for us - given time. Lets repeat that mantra - given time.

Scullgove combo rules and our other youngsters are all getting exciting as well.

If in 5 years JW hasn't progress (he will be what - 23) then by all means we might of made the wrong call. But if he turns into a monster like Neita with Roo's athletic ability I am also happy to say Nic Nat who.

The round 22 game in 2007 against carlton was a massive blow...could of had nic nat and watts...instead we got a victory is a meaningless game which has contributed nothing to our club at all.

Form memory and doing a quick check of the 07 ladder. Going into the last game against Carlton, we knew Richmond had lost so even if we lost we would of finished second last so we wouldn't of got Kruezer anyway.

The game a couple weeks earlier against bulldogs "cost us" another pick. We were never going to lose against Carlton round 22, or was it Cartlon were never going to win. The fact that the bookies didn't take bets on this games shows you, the only way not to of won this game was not to turn up.

Happy with who we have drafted, and i think the combination of Scully and Trengove is the best of anything we have or could of drafted over the last 4 years.

Helped build a winning culture.

Wait wut.

Except we could never have lost that game to Carlton, it was impossible because no matter what happened Carlton were going to lose.

Watts is going to take time, we all know that. I'm interested in Morton. I want to see him back and firing soon. He's played 40 odd games and should hopefully be ready to step up. He's still a while off getting the best out of his 192cm frame, but I wonder if he can become more than a half back flanker or wingman - though I won't complain if he reaches the top level in one of those positions.

He could be our long term CHB, potentially freeing up Garland. Or he could be our CHF.

The problem was damn Buckets Holland staged a one man show against the dogs a few weeks earlier. He cost us the earlier priority pick. Well and truly made up for it by acting as punching bag to Carroll, which was the last straw in allowing us to give Carroll the flick (or though pretty sure we still paid him a fair wage for doing nothing).
