Best from 2002 Draft?

I think these are the best 12 players from the 2002 draft.

So who is the best of the lot and in what order would you draft them if you knew what you know now?

Taking Wellsy and McIntosh out of the equation, it is clearly Jared Rivers for me.

I would draft them in this order:

2. Goddard
3. Selwood
4. Malcevski
5. Simpson
6. Watson
7. Salopeck
8. Minson
9. Ebert
10. Schammer

how embarrasing for you, you call simpson cheap back flanker, then go on to talk selwood up like hes not a cheap half back flanker, i honestly thought you mixed the names up for a second or two

Quite a poor draft... it's like a hangover on talent the year after the superdraft (2001).

Hopefully next year is different.

Simpson pretty easily. Although I still think we're yet to see the best of Goddard and Wells. Goddard's early career was hampered by GT's negative influence.

Um Simpson's a midfielder who BTW joined Marc Murphy in systematically destroying the Weagles Juddless 2nd tier midfield at Subi early in 2006. Get to see that game? Weagles are accumulating a nice collection of midfield tagger types - didn't work that day, but they were instrumental in JW's successful Judd-one-man-game-plan.

man this is getting sad parrot. The eagles midfield is so far beyond that of anything carlton can put on the field now and into the future its not funny. They played one quater of footy and that was enough to win. Goddard for mine anyway

I'm not going on proven talent. Simpson has taken longer to develop than Goddard and thus doesn't have as many runs on the board. I am going on who I would rather in my team. IMO, Simpson is going to add much more to our future structure than Goddard would have. Also, I would not swap Simpson for any of the other players in the 02draft.

Goddard by far the best in the draft tho

I don't know which is worse, this draft or 2004
