I believe Gary did hold his, play on was not called and he got up and had a set shot for goal therefore THAT WAS A MARK. It was paid by the umpire.

I must admit... thats the best one I've ever seen live. Sampi's is probably equal to it but my opinion may be different if I saw that live too...

The umpire was caught up in the great leap that it was. I think he woulda feared for his life if he didn't pay it By the laws of the game he didn't hold it for long enough... and that makes it look bad when you compare it to marks where the ball is held all the way down.

The best photo of a mark of all time is this one. Other marks may have been more spectacular, higher, more courage, but no photo captures the brilliance and elegance of our game than this one of Gero. (although that Moorcroft one comes pretty close!)

The other pic is ruined by the barb lookalike in the background, and the bogan tatoo on morcrofts ankle.

Looking at that Moorcroft mark, that was awesome, i reckon Jimmy Bartels last year was better than riewoldt's, exactly the same, but bartel is half the size, and riewoldt took it over milne, bartels was better.
Moorcroft, Sean Smith, Brett Allison, they were all good
