As others have said, if it's based on careers, then McLeod is the best 33 year old ahead of Johnson. If it's based on this season only, you'd take Johnno just ahead of Edwards (who had a great season himself, people seem to be forgetting) and then McLeod, but then don't whinge about Aker because Goodwin had the better year. He had a cracking season - AA, and 3rd in our B&F.

Goodwin was amongst the least deserving AA selections this year, everyone knows that. Aker is not only a better player than Goodwin over career but he had a better year than Goodwin in general. He lead the Dogs goal-scoring, won us some games off his own boot and was simply a much better player than Goodwin.

Take the goggles off mate the fact is Goodwin was AA, Aker was nowhere near it. Aker has been the better player over their career's but Goodwin was better this season.

I'm not wearing any goggles here. Go read all the AA threads. Nobody thought Goodwin even deserved to be in the squad, let alone the team ahead of someone like Goddard. Akermanis should have made the squad and he probably had a better year than Leon Davis (Given he was consistant over the whole year)

But the AA Argument isn't strong anymore. Ever since 2007, it's become awful. I'm not going to acknowledge it as a real argument until Adrian Anderson and Andrew Demetriou are off the panel.

Goodwin may not have been the most worthy AA, but he did have a great season and it was better in comparison to Akers.

No, I'm just making a comment and pointing out a lot of people disagree, it's a forum. You just did the same thing in your second paragraph that's bolded.

As for the actual reply, if you think Goodwin's season was better than Aker's, that's your opinion, but I know I'm not the only one who'll disagree there. Also, if this is based on career, it's fair to say that Aker's comfortably ahead of Goodwin with 3 Premiership Medals and BJ/McLeod are ahead of Edwards, easily. But hey, I suppose it's all opinion.
