Eade & Scott played in Premierships as players, but John Northey is another who coached over 300 games without tasting the ultimate success, although he played in the 1969 Tigers Premiership team.

Other players to miss out, not previously mentioned include:

Brad Johnson
Doug Hawkins
Chris Grant
Nick Riewoldt
Brendan Goddard

You could name plenty of Footscry & Saints players.

Currently it's Kade Simpson - sitting on 326 games - who stands out....Eddie Betts & David Mundy are the other current 300 gamers to be without one.

Nick Riewoldt must pull his hair out seeing the sulky cousin cleaning up on premierships.
Nick was a fair dinkum superstar hovering on one of the all time greats.

now I reckon Jack is a muchmore useful forward for these times

Using players that I've seen (mostly past 20 odd years):

FB: Ben Rutten - Daniel Talia - Sean Dempster
HB: Bob Murphy - Luke McPharlin - Jed Adcock
MF: Robert Harvey - Nathan Buckley - Nick Dal Santo
HF: Matthew Richardson - Nick Riewoldt - Brad Johnson
FF: Eddie Betts - Matthew Pavlich - Stephen Milne
OB: Aaron Sandilands - Nat Fyfe - Patrick Dangerfield
IC: Leigh Montagna - Matthew Priddis - Nic Naitanui - Brendan Goddard

I avoided selecting Essendon players deliberately, but Goddard too good to not pick when the next best I could think of was Brett Deledio

Dempster was/is a Premiership player so I presume he shouldn't be there.

I forgot he played for Sydney in 05. Slide Sam Fisher in there
