Of Josh Kennedy, Kurt Tippett, Tom Hawkins and Jesse White, who would you say is currently the best going into 2010?

Along with that, which one will be the best in 5 years time and by the end of their careers?

i suppose john anthony kicking 50 goals in his first full season doesnt get a mention because...

It's just comparing those 4 players.

If this was to see the best up and coming foward in the league, Hurley would have to be included as well as Anthony.

U could hardly say that... Anthony played the whole year at full forward. Hurley played bugger all really. Not taking anything away from the kid I think he'll be a star back or forward

However Jesse whites in the same boat played something like 10 games or something at ff I think.
Hurley had his break out season in the back though.

....the other 4 players mentioned actually touched the football when playing on Brian Lake last year.

Tippett slighly ahead of Kennedy, but it could go either way from here.

I've never seen White play, and Hawkins should do more, considering he's at the pointy end of the best midfield in the comp.

Hard to go past Tippett.

Although not many people realise that he was an older draftee in 2006 and is actually only a few months younger than the likes of Franklin and Roughead, who were taken in 2004.

Still, certainly has the other three covered at this stage on the 'impressiveness scale'.

nobody likes collingwood
Even though it was probably a joke, it's pretty close to the real reason.

All of Tippet, White, Hawkins and Kennedy have more scope to become dominant forwards though, than Anthony. They're just bigger and more powerful players, so I can understand Anthony not being included really. Same goes for Jurrah.

For me, Kennedy, Tippett, Hawkins and then White.

I knew this thread would get complaints regarding why their team's young forward isn't there.

The answer is simple, I'm only comparing these 4. The title 'Best Upcoming Forward' is just used as a shorter term then say "Kurt Tippet vs Josh Kennedy vs Hawkins etc". Also, Jurrah and Anthony are more like third talls anyway, this thread is for CHF/FFs.

pretty sure john anthony plays ff

i dont know he had an off season kicking 70 odd goals last year....

i still dont get why everyone was getting stuck in to him for that. guarentee if anthony kicked 70 goals a lot of collingwood fans would be calling him the second coming of jesus

Lance Franklin. I hear he goes alright.

5 seasons, over 100 games (50-80 more then the players listed). Established as one of the top forwards in the league is far from upcoming.

For me currently: Tippett > Kennedy > Hawkins > White.
End of careers: Kennedy > Tippett > Hawkins > White.
