Carlton's list would be one of the top 4 young lists.
Unortunately for the blues results are yet to prove that!

That is because they have no experience along side them.
I'd like to see how the Pies youngsters would go if you took Clement (who retires), Wakelin, Burns, Rocca and Lockyer out of the side.
Based on your logic Sydney has had one of the best young lists in the comp over the past few years.

I would say that the margin is lot more narrow than you think. If the Hawks do have the best young list, the Pies would be a very close second!

In 2008 the Blues wil have the best young list, then a reasonable gap, followed by the Hawks. The Pies are bottom 4 in terms of talent in their younger player group.![]()

Collingwood's youngsters have shown a shitload more than than ones at your pathetic rabble. They nearly made a GF this year with the likes of Thomas, Pendlebury, Goldsack, Clarke etc now they have an up an coming ruckman in Wood, plus they have a winning mentality - they actually want to win games.
Now look at Carlton - Murphy is their only youngster that has done anything. They finished 15th, after five years down the bottom.
Kennedy, Russell, Walker, Hartlett, Bentick - the list of Carlton recruiting blunders goes on
Selwood is light years ahead of Gibbs too, Gibbs wouldnt even be top 10 in retrospect. Oh dear.![]()
...Selwood is ...

The problem the Pies have is that apart from Pendlebury, the rest of their younger player group are middle-of-the-roaders e.g Maxwell, and Shaws are good triers, but mid-to-low-range talent wise.![]()

Don't forget Cloke, along with buddy he is the best young forward in the competition!!!

Talent is just a piece of the puzzle, Damian Cupido was talented, completely wasted though.
Collingwood's youngsters are good footballers who play good football as a team.
Carlton youngsters? - they may have been talented in the school boy days or at the draft camp, but the fact is they play for a shit club with a losing cluture. They might have, as you think, all the talent in the world (which they clearly don't) but they are still playing for a shit football club - with a coach who has a 0% winning record.![]()

..a poor mans Marc Murphy. Goes at it hard, but not the same poise or talent Murph has.![]()

lol. You sound a little insecure. Strange. Cat's supporters have been all over the place announcing that the next 2 flags are in the bag. Why are you so worried about the young Blues? We both know why of course.![]()
The best young forward is Josh Kennedy.....

JK has a lot more talent than Cloke. And you know it. Didn't want to see him go, but we've got the best player in the AFL now, who should be a handy addition to our midfield. Oh and BTW, Judd publically rated the talent in our younger player group way above what the Pies have. Was he right?![]()
Huh? I was happy when Judd chose Carlton ahead of Collingwood because I knew Carlton will not be a threat for a ...

Yet they've shown nothing to indicate this.
Nice spin, but you know it ain't true. The Pies were never ever going to be a threat with their mid-to-low-talent level younger player group. The Blues have the best raw talent in the AFL now, and are focusing on flags 17 and 18. Looking forward to our next encounter.![]()
