Section 24 subsection B3 JUST GOT REPEALED.
AFL Club
Collingwood
for those of us who like a punt on the footy, this saturday is the last chance. and as always theres a multitude of options available, to suit both the small odds & long odds takers.

considering what is fast becoming the most anticipated grand final in many years, the options provide an opportunity to make some nice cash, or likewise do your nuts cold.

for me personally, im a long odds risk taker, and as such i will be betting on the goal scorer bets available. last year in GF1 i had some good cash on heath shaw @ $51 to kick the last goal, and of course he dropped that mark in the goal square, only for clokey to collect it and put us in front.

i havent decided who im backing yet, but as per last year im endeavouring to find some back flanker type to kick the last goal (not forgetting neon leon :)) as well as various options for each quarters 1st goal.

anyone else ?

I cant understand the odds there betting in GF

In the round 24 clash you guys were $1.30 and we were $3.50 in the head to head

From that game you have brought in Davis Thomas Shaw and Maxwell -4 topliners , and we have lost Menzell (kicked 5 and is a massive loss ) and maybe S Johnson -and yet we are $1.80 and Pies are $2.06 -i cant understand those odds

To me it is a deadset Even Money clash -for mine there are doubts about several players whether there up to it in both sides .I wouldnt be surprised by any result -it could be close or it could be a massacre by either team . Its very hard to get a handle on this game.

Has a lot to do with how much is put on each team, if twice as much money was put on Geelong at longer odds, the bookies would lose a mint if Geelong get up, they have to balance the books better by making Collingwood appear more appetizing, so more bets go that way as well.

I just posted on your board about SJ...and of course was half abused but I am scratching my head at the lack of "Menzel/SJ" talk. I am talking through my pocket but I think this is massive for Geelong but it doesn't seem that way to media and punters. When they talk about Jolly its like doomsday for the Pies. It could be the "Franklin effect" with SJ with people believing he will get up.

I've whacked $500 on Geelong.

If we lose, it's the only way that I'll be able to cope ($$)

If we win, it will be like I paid for us to win.

Not sure I'd be bragging about that.
Ive been punting on footy for years and have bet against us only once, when the result was inevitable and it certainly wasn't in a GF.

FWIW
Had a decent go on Swanny for Normie, have backed Bally and Rusty too.
Waiting for Heater to drift from ridiculous odds of 13-1

I invested 100 on the brownlow with a profit of 1405, 50 on Swanny at 10 and 5 on the swan dalsanto quinella 201. So I have whacked 1000 on the pies at 2.05,, 50 on swanny at 7 50, 50 on trav at 15 norm smith and the last 305 in me account for moonee valley tonight bring it on.

Punter puts $500,000 on the mighty Pies

This is what I like to hear.

Take for example, last years Melbourne Cup, all the late money on race day was for Amercain and Mayluckyday, and amazingly they ran 1st and 2nd.

Same here, punters who bet in those amounts don't do so without a ton of research, and in this case, the system that punter has clearly punched out Collingwood.

It's all turning our way.:)

Not sure if it's been mentioned or not, but for those betting on the NS make sure you multi it with a win bet for your preferred player/players team, as you all know players from the losing team rarely win the NS so you may double up on it if you know what I mean.

After they won your last encounter easily Betchoice's premiership odds still had you Odds On and the Cats 4/1 - so clearly they were holding a lot of money on you guys.
There must have been a hell of a lot of money go on Geelong this month to bring them into favourites

I somehow have 16 bets on the game - lol.

They're all relatively small though.

At the start I was backing Geelong to try to compensate for the deflating feeling if we lose (not that it could), but tonight I threw that to the wind and put $100 on us head to head. I got my faith back. Let's hope it isn't misguided.
