Betts to the middle: Cameron in?

In his own admission he has had his biggest pre-season ever, no reason why he can't have burst through the middle

Pretty sure I read or heard Harper say Betts might be used in bursts through the middle anyway. Perhaps when Tex is back and we have a more functioning forward line.

Isn't Cameron supposed to be a decent wingman/half-forward type, as opposed to the traditional crumbing small forward? (Although he's played very much that crumbing role in the trial games). He probably isn't quite ready but we bloody need one of those!

I would leave Betts in the forward line ( he kicks goals!) , and with the very occasional run through the midfield, however, I would bring in Petrenko to complement Betts in the forward line and have someone else to also provide forward line pressure and pace.
In addition, I would bring in Cameron as a high h/f or wingman/outside midfielder as he provides pace, flair and defensive pressure and it is entirely irrelevant that he is only a rookie - he has what we lack.

Get Cameron, but play him where he is best positioned. No use continuing to play players out of position. Betts stays as a small forward, heck, he's the only one with flare at the moment. Blood Cameron, and reap the rewards if he can play. And if he can't play, we haven't lost anything anyway. It's time to get ballsy with player selection.

Betts is not up to midfield and will never be. Cameron must come in this week though in my opinion. The best of the young'ns and we need to fast track.
