It's been a stressful off-season the last few weeks and after the debacle of the weekend just gone, would anyone be opposed after this draft that we set a new set of rules on a sticky/pinned post somewhere that we ALL have to acknowledge moving forward?

I think after a decade of playing this league some rules are starting to become grey and as a league we're losing common sense.

Stuff like:

• Posting in the thread as well as the UF page (or not, depending on whatever way we want to go)
• Expectations of turning up when the draft is on.
• Who does admin/commissioner duties.
• Who makes the rules, etc.
• Backup contact options (out of BF) for those who go missing just to make sure we can hear from them if they want to continue play.
• An official waitlist for the league for replacement coaches.
• A stickied post/thread for all lists, trades, future picks (we have this already but would be good to include it in there).
• Official deadlines for financials of paying the $20 UF fee to whoever needs to pay, official deadlines of team cutoffs for times/dates of delistings in the off-season and mid-season too, etc.

Stuff like that ^

This is an open discussion and just throwing the idea out there, but I think it's healthy we look at it annually and reset our league expectations and goals for one another. It might take a bit of collective work, but I think we'd be better for it in the long run.

This would be great. I've been around for 3 or 4 seasons but there is definitely a bunch of this stuff that I really arent clear on. Having a chance to have it all cleared up and/or updated as some things have changed over time (like the $20 fee)

Just a quick one I think yes we need to update the rules, or @unknown_caller update the first thread.

I think on Any changes etc we vote as a league. UC can be a tie breaker if it's needed.

I agree we all need to vote on everything and have input, which is why I think it's healthy we have these discussions together.

Whether UC wants to be commissioner going forward is another question in itself. We simply can't have the most important key figure going missing for an off-season for the reasons above in the dot points of needing to be covered.

I kinda think we need more than a 50% vote for big changes (maybe like 8 of the 14 of us rather than one person deciding) to make it a true majority.

I don't want to be the one to lead any drastic changes, but I'm happy to facilitate the discussions fairly if we can all agree to remove emotion from it and just talk about what we want to change/stay the same and keep this league as healthy as possible.
