That's a good pick. I was tossing up between him and Urquhart. Could've had both but I figured next year might be kinder.

Both look really good picks for where they were in the draft based on pre-season games against AFL bodies.

Both will play games this year imo. Urquhart particularly looks a bargain imo, was very impressive today up against LDU.

Warriors off-season now completed, with some big list changes..

21 players OUT
Retired: (4)
Joe Daniher, Dyson Heppell, Hugh Greenwood, Andrew Gaff
AFL delisted: (2)
Zane Drew, Lachlan McAndrew
BFDL delisted: (2)
Jack Darling, Jayden Hunt
Traded Out: (13)
Rowan Marshall, Jake Lloyd, Tom Liberatore, Ollie Wines, Tom Papley, Luke Parker, Callan Ward, Travis Boak, Tom Lynch, Jeremy Howe, Charlie Cameron, Zac Williams, Tom McDonald

21 Players IN
Traded In: (13)
Hugh McCluggage, James Worpel, Will Graham, Mathew Johnson, Tom Sparrow, Changkuoth Jiath, Nathan O'Driscoll, Campbell Chesser, Connor Budarick, Judson Clarke, Finn Macrae, Harry Hustwaite, Luamon Lual,
Draft Picks: (8)
Henry Boyd, Cody Anderson, Lennox Hofmann, Cody Angove, Lucca Grego, Liam O'Connell, Cooper Sharman, Ollie Wiltshire

Future Picks traded in (5):
Round 2: Bulldogs
Round 3: Power & Bulldogs
Round 4: M2D, & Jackels

My prediction is that we will struggle for a full line-up at times and there will be quite a few list changes to come in the next couple of years as many of the newbies are raw and speculative at best.. no predicted best 22 named as too depressing.. looking forward to a top 3 draft pick next year though 😅

That’s a pretty quiet offseason tenderwarrior

I look forward to how your rebuild goes and how you manage it. It’s interesting to see you trade in so many players over picks to start off.
Generally draft picks are over-rated.. I think generally I can get a better valued trade going for a known player with flaws, rather than trading in a ticket for a mythical potential unicorn 😅

There is a level of PTSD isn’t there tenderwarrior yiur first draft didn’t go to plan?

Edit - and I don’t think your wrong eg value ect a lot of picks are busts at least you know what your getting.

From memory in the initial draft I went way too hard for short-tern success and had an average squad age of 30+ (or at least that is what it felt like..) so I started a drastic rebuild about halfway though the first season when I realised that I was unlikely to make the grand final with my old list.. I dont know whether it was the first or second season, but I rebuild hard and ended up with a heap of early draft picks in the year GWS entered the comp.. I think I selected every early pick they had who was a bust.. O'Rourke, Jaksch, others I have repressed.. so yeah, after that I tended to trade out my early picks.. even a few drafts where I took no picks at all- but it was a strategy that served me well 🙂. I plan to use my early picks next year though - this year I had so many holes to fill I thought spending my picks wisely in trades was the best option.. time will tell

Hey Drew23 must of slipped your mind to check if it was your pick when you accepted that trade a couple of hours ago in the other league but it is your picks. But you’ll want to be quick.

Are you getting notifications in the app when it is your pick?

Highs and lows lol

I had a good run to start but still it’s guys like Kemp (who I like but cost like pick 12), Francis top 10, Gould top 15. Tsatas has been a slower burn but I think is coming good. Rayner, Stephenson as top 5 picks, I thought Steve was great at Collingwood but that trade seemed like it took something from him was never the same player.

Good to see Travaglia training on a wing. (Not) thought I'd get at least 3 or 4 years as a defender but I mightve been wrong, will I ever draft an actual gun defender not named Darcy Wilmot... That is the question, wombats might just have to reset this rebuild and start again lol.
