Ok....sorry for the immense lateness of this but I have been pretty busy of late. Anyways here is the Round 7 leaderboad after our somewhat lucky win at home against Geelong.

How it works - Position, Votes, Player, Last Week, This Week.

BFWCPOTY Leaderboard Round 7

1. 590 - Chad Fletcher ~~ 2-1
2. 586 - Michael Gardiner ~~ 1-2
3. 356 - Daniel Chick ~~ 6-3
4. 313 - Chris Judd ~~ 3-4
5. 252 - Phillip Matera ~~ 4-5
6. 240 - David Wirrpunda ~~ 5-6
7. 214 - Daniel Kerr ~~ 7-7
8. 201 - Andrew Embley ~~ 8-8
9. 133 - Ben Cousins ~~ 9-9
10. 111 - Ashley McIntosh ~~ 15-10
11. 99 - Ashley Sampi ~~ 12-11

22. 4 - Dean Cox ~~ 20-22
23. 1 - Adam Hunter ~~ 22-23

So their it is for round 7 win over Geelong. Well the big move for the week is Fletcher's rise to the top. He never really lost touch with Gardiner and now with a BOG display against the Cats, he moves just in front of the big man. Gardiner managed only 14 votes in the clash with Geelong and loses top spot for the first time since he claimed the lead in Round 3.

Chick continues his rise up the leaderboard, moving from 6th into 3rd and announcing that he could be a real threat this year in just his first year with the club. McIntosh is also a big mover, jumping into the top 10 from 15th. The sleeping giant that is defending champ, back to back B&F and 4 time AA Ben Cousins, is yet to awake from his slumber.

Fletcher - 148
Chick - 121
McIntosh - 63
Embley - 62
Banfield - 35
Sampi - 18
Gardiner - 14
Green - 14
Carroll - 13
Judd - 13
Jakovich - 7
Matera - 2

Those were the votes for the win over the Cats.

I thought Embers would have had more votes by now!

Surprised by that too - He's been more consistent than outstanding though, but should do very well in the round 8 votes.

Guess this'll be the year that Cousins doesnt win it.... although thats good in a way cos it shows we're no longer a one man team :)

Cuz certainly hs given Gardiner and Fletch a big start. We'll see just how good he is now, to respond after a down couple of months early in the season, mainly because of injury. I think he will obviously rise higher than he is now but reeling Gardiner all the way in maybe beyond him.

Expect him to start turning it on though...I would expect nothing else from the captain. Just depends on whether or not we reward him. He had 25 touches, equal most with Embley for last weekends game yet hardly made a wave in the voting. Cousins has perhaps lifted his own standard so high that we dont recogize him unless he get 35+ disposals.

Embers voting numbers round to round.

1 - 28
2 - 52
3 - 33
4 - 0
5 - 22
6 - 4
7 - 62

And he has plenty to come in Round 8...but yes he has been pretty consistent.
