Not having a crack at you ep, because I see this idea raised a fair bit - but it's a tad arrogant I reckon! They've got their own competition. Why would they want to be an add-on to ours? But not opposed to having one or two NZ teams.
Pros are that NZ can be a part of an already popular T20 comp and BBL get an extra 5 million potential fans. NZ is close enough that it wont be too much of a bother for other teams to travel there. There is an NZ based Aleague team and NRL team, why not for a month long BBL comp? I don't want any Kiwi teams anyway. It's enough of a struggle getting good internationals as is, will be harder with more Aussie teams let alone letting them in!Pros are that NZ can be a part of an already popular T20 comp and BBL get an extra 5 million potential fans. I've seen heaps of kiwis support the idea of one or two NZ based teams in the BBL, on Reddit.

How popular is NZ's T20 comp over there? Doesn't seem overly popular crowd wise?
The way I see it, if an NZ based team(s) come in, does that side get any Australian players as internationals, and all Kiwis as locals?
I believe the trade off needs to be more opportunities for the New Zealand players, therefore all NZ players become 'local' players throughout the entire league. This also probably prevents the need for adding an international per side
This suggestion, of course, does not at all take into consideration the existing NZ T20 comp
The only way it could work is if all NZ players became locals.
But from a NZ point of view you'd want 2-3 teams (at least Auckland, Christchurch and Wellington) to give up that.
That's pathetic.3000 to the final

Adelaide's attack is the perfect illustration of why any more than ten teams any teams in the near future would be a mistake
Players like Putland (if he's still around), Sayers, David Moody, Peter George and such would be playing perhaps.Adelaide's attack is the perfect illustration of why any more than ten teams any teams in the near future would be a mistake
