Missing some stars, with an abbreviated/unexpected preparation and coming up against our toughest opposition you'd expect us to get rolled here.

But these Scorchers have really impressed me with their resiliency and adaptability (unlike another certain WA sports team in recent years) so in no way can you count them out.

It sounds like Jhye is actually fit and it’s a tactical choice. Pretty shitty how this series is panning out for him tbh.

Hopefully he gets another chance in Hobart.
He's still got plenty of time.

Boland is a decent enough bowler and that performance at the G was something else, but he'll revert to the mean relatively quickly.

Richardson has way too much quality to miss out on a good test career for any reason that isn't injury related.

Not the worst thing to play tonight. Means our two games on GC aren't back to back, giving a better chance of Tye to play back to back (would have said Behrendorf as well but alas he looks to be out tonight anyway).

Ultimately this game doesn't really matter compared to Thunder in two days time. Top 2 is all the matters (with no real home advantage) and keeping them below us is more important than catching the Sixers.

Is this pitch as two paced as our bats are making it look or are the Sixers going to chase down our seemingly meagre total in 11 overs?
