I see India have rolled out another raging turner for the Poms. Must be frustrating to one of the best quicks in the world (Bumrah) and not get to take that many wickets in domestic tests because the BCCI wants slow pitches that turn a mile.

It's a bizarre choice really given they've got the best pace attack they've probably ever had. But why risk losing when you get to set the handicap.

Is it just me or has Lyon been relatively ineffective this summer

Not terrible, but a bit on the underwhelming side

Most of the matches haven't lasted anywhere near long enough for a spinner to even be required.

He was in the attack this morning before drinks and has regularly bowled in the first 15-20 overs

England all out for 246, a score that we only managed to beat twice last tour of India (one of which was on the road produced for India to draw the final test).

Will be interesting to see how they bowl.

Well they have burnt their reviews all within 13 overs, the bloke on debut is being bazz balled all over the joint and looks like a d grade cricketer with his shirt hanging out… this jaiswal blokes the real deal

So it's a moral victory for the Poms despite the fact we beat them twice again is it?

In spite of Joseph knicking off there, a pretty positive day for the Windies in the end. Great to see.

Their approach to batting under lights was refreshing and good to see their positive strokeplay rewarded. Bit like Head and Jamal!

They've uncovered some real fighters across the two games so far. Sinclair seems like another great character from this cameo. Loved how he held his pose for that drive down the ground off Starc.

From my memory without looking at the stats he’s always been a bit like the above. His average runs per wicket wouldn’t be any better than what you are quoting.

Only occasionally a big wicket taker, he takes useful wickets, is a good team member and has plugged away at it long enough to take 500+ wickets.
That’s my perception of him.

I dont think Lyon has looked 100% either across most of the summer either. .

so 6k more ppl to a day night test during school holidays is fine. Ok
It's not school holidays in QLD. First week back at school, understandably lower than if it were the last week of school when the kids do SFA and just watch movies.

Gee whiz, if you're not giving that as an umpire when are you ever going to give an LBW? JFC.
I can understand thinking it was outside the line live considering Smith was standing about 6 feet outside off.
