Looks like a fun day for me...no real clashes...and a pretty sweet line-up
:D :D :D

My only beef is having the Dandy Warhols on the main stage. Ive seen them live 5 times and am thinking they will struggle on the main arena. The Big top is ideal or them!

After seeing At the drive in several years back im hoping the Mars Volta will be just as good!

I'll be going just to see Aphex Twin. After that, i'll just drink the day away, as the rest of the bands don't interest me in the slightest.

I'm going to see metallica, coz I was sick in 98 and was in Kalgoorlie in 93, don't even like them much anymore but I have to go for the old school hits.

I haven't checked but I hope aphex twin arent playing when metallica are on.

I've bought a ticket but I'm gonna try and jump the fence anyway, always a sweet adventure getting chased by guards and hiding in various sheds/trees, its the best part of the day now that the mother****ers at perth have turned the sound right down for the oldies in nearby suburbs.

edit: if a guard catches you, you get beat up like a bitch

Pharque that...

have to be content with watching some on T.V. Channel V do a kick arse job though, love the band interviews. After seeing an interview they did with the music (mixed with the song :the people") i went out and bought their self titled album. The interview with the Murderdolls last year was great even though i dont get into their music.

Yeah, take away Mars Volta out of that statement and i'm pretty much the same. Seeing as though the fricken Muse solo show at the fricken Hi-fricken-Fi Bar sold out in 4 fricken minutes  this was my only chance to see the lads!

Possibly the worst BDO line-up i can recall. Looking forward to seeing The Darkness i guess, also will be cool to see Magic Dirt play their new stuff as i didn't get a chance to see them on their recent tour, and 1200 Techniques are always grouse live, but all in all it is a very uninspiring line-up, especially at the business end of things.

Eh, i'll be hammered by that stage anyway, so what am i on about anyway?!? :o

I've been the last two years, but giving it a miss this time. I'd like to see a few bands (The Strokes, The Datsuns, Kings of Leon, The Mars Volta, Muse, The Flaming Lips, Muse, The Dandy Warhols), but nothing there really stands out enough for me to pay $100 and get crushed everywhere I go and risk missing the shows I wanna see because it is too hard to get from stage to stage.

The Hitman

If your on the East Coast be sure to catch Aesop Rock and Mr Lif. This is hip hop as it should be done.

Get these songs for a little taste:
Success - Mr Lif
Labor - Aesop Rock
Daylight - Aesop Rock
Home of the Brave - Mr Lif
Front On This - Mr Lif
Madness In A Cup - Mr Lif
One Brick - Aesop Rock
11:35 - Aesop Rock

They're bound to be Triple J's new lovechild.

I'm giving it a miss this year and just going to the Muse and The Flaming Lips sideshows. Bit dissapointed to be missing out on Metallica and The Strokes but I really can't justify spending $100 for it.

only 1 recommendation from bazooka tooth?...'Flashflood' & '9-5ers anthem' are also standouts for mine, along with 'Live from the plantation' and 'Status' and the skits are actually quite funny
