The next few years will see the end of the older guys and some low finishes.
It looks like we are rebuilding, which is hard to do if you make finals and miss out on the lower draft picks.

Not necessarily. I'd imagine this has happened for salary cap reasons. Whitrnall would have been on a decent wage and with Juddas arriving, they need cash. He got himself in to shape at the end of the year last season, i say take a punt on him. What's the worst that could happen.

I wouldn't mind taking him on - even if he fills out the goal square whilst we get the new forward structure built. He isn't going to be commanding a massive amount of cash so we can attempt a Graham via Hawks-->Tigers.

You're completely wrong. We still have plenty of salary cap room even with the signing of Judd as only him, Fev and Stevens are on decent money.

If Whitnall's knee wasn't stuffed we would have given him a reduced one year contract. But word has it that he would only be able to train once a week with his condition which simply isn't enough for an AFL footballer.

I will be very surprised if another club picks him up as he'll most likely be just taking up a spot on your list and not adding much value.

Forward and back he can be very useful. Despite having some issues, he has a very good footy brain which could go a long way to helping the team, especially in a developing backline
