how do u think he will perform at afl level in 08 - i thought he didnt start too well last year but showed some promising signs towards the end of the year to suggest he could be more of a regular in the lineup this season after having a alright yr for an 18 year old in 06

We're all expecting big things this year from Dunny. I personally want to see him cement a spot in our 22. He's been in the system enough years now to finally be able to make a mark on the game. Alot of people are writing us off this year saying they can't see where the improvement is going to come from, but it will be the big steps players like Dunn, Sylvia, Bate, Newton Jones and McLean that will show where we are headed.

Dunn is too smart a footballer not to be used this year, and I hope he is given more of a chance under Deano than what Daniher gave him.

If Bruce doesn't regain his form of a couple of years ago expect Lynden to play that sort of role but hopefully with better foot-skills.

i'm really excited about dunny, and think he could become one of our best players... has great skills, a good engine and knows how to kick a goal, even when playing in the middle... a midfield including jones, mclean, sylvia and dunn amongst others really excites me...

I thought he was a real natural the way he moved around the forward line in his first season and his goal sense was great. Since then I'm not so sure about him.

I think he may be groomed as a utility style player. He certainly could play midfield if trained and coached properly and I think he's definitely got the tools to be a quality player for the MFC.

I am hoping that he has puto n a few kg's over the summer, seems to have an ok tank, would love for him to bulk up and play a Chad Cornes like role. Has good hands and foot skills are pretty good. '08' needs to be his year to take a big step up, I agree that Danniher didn't give him enough opportunity. Hopefully he has impressed Bailey enough to get a regualar gig.

You've gotta be joking! Bruce's kicking in 2007 was atrocious!!!!

Couldn't agree more about Bruce's kicking..

I really hope Dunn can take the next step, very versatile player who can play forward, back and In the middle.. Would give us alot of options If Dunn and Bate can really get going this year.

Agreed. We need all the utilities to start plugging holes and gaps in our line-up, wherever Bails requires them to play.

I had a dream last night about round 1, Dunne played fantastic, as did Miller - the miller part made me realise it was all a dream, but hopefully Dunne can play like he did in my dream

I'm confident that Dunn will become a good player for us. I'm not sure where his best position is just yet, but I'm sure that will eventuate soon.

I would like to see Dunn playing off a back flank as a sweeper(similar to brad green) setting up plays and creating space. And also in the midfield i think he could become a really good utility. :thumbsu:
