These need to be completed by TOMORROW. If not, I will go through old posts and see if anyone reported a no show. If so, they receive a forfeit victory. If not, the match is deemed abandoned (but played) and no points are awarded.

If you need to reschedule beyond tonight I will allow until the END OF THIS SATURDAY, but you must schedule with your opponent and send me a PRIVATE MESSAGE to confirm the reschedule. This must be done within the next 24 HOURS (Midday tomorrow, WA time, which is 2pm EST).

Also, Brownlow votes need to be submitted by the END OF THIS SATURDAY. Votes not received will mean your opponent's votes are doubled for THEIR PLAYERS ONLY (unless you have pre-agreed to double their votes, as illnino has done for his match with Lurk3r). If no votes are received for a match, then simply none are counted.

I will conduct the Brownlow Medal count either THIS SUNDAY evening or the following Sunday, late evening (around 10pm/11pmish EST). I will do a round by round count, and name a player of the round. I will then publish an All-Australian team with 24 to 48 hours of the Brownlow count.

Finals WILL begin this coming MONDAY (pushing this back from the original start date of this Friday). Qualifying and Elimination finals will take place over Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday (Aug 22 to 24).

Semi Finals will be scheduled for Friday/Saturday/Sunday (Aug 26 to 28).
Preliminary Finals will be scheduled for Tuesday/Wednesday Aug 29 to 31
The Grand Final will be scheduled for Friday September 2nd.

Please let me know ASAP if it impossible for you to be available on any of the above dates.

Righto, I'll once again be on tonight for my scheduled game with Lurk3r, and hopefully Gibbsy is right to come on and re-do our 2nd game as well. Looking forward to a bit of a break once tonight's done, after playing some 4000 games of AFL Live in the few days since I got my net back.

I'll submit my brownlow votes and BnF as a bunch once tonight's games are done Jorel. The various awards nights you have planned sound good, should be interesting.

At this stage I don't know if/when I'd try and start a second season. Will probably need to take a short break. That doesn't mean someone else can't organise something.

Thats a shame if you wont be organising a season 2, your running of this comp has been first class. :thumbsu:

Looks like to make finals I'll have to win both of my last two games  (dependent on how it goes with people who played DT_fanatic). Will be a big ask considering I'm coming up against Mahama, who seems to have the better of me, as well as Lurk3r who can be a surprise packet. Will need to be on my game to hopefully make the finals and cause a bit of a shake-up perhaps.

Congrats to all who have sealed their positions in the top 8.

must admit i was expecting to cop a bit of flack from that celebration post, but getting donuts! cmon you blokes, wheres the Freo trolling, saying it means nothing, etc?

All I can say is that I'm glad I didn't finish 9th.:D

Yeah, I'm in no position to make remarks about other teams' finals performances... So just a polite 'well done' from me Scooty!

Will be interesting to see if I can carry on the Adelaide tradition of winning the premiership from outside the top 4, or the Bulldogs tradition of bombing out in the prelims.

If I haven't been called forfeited on my games I can smash 'em all out tonight if people are on.

Sorry that I haven't been able to play for a while but have been quite busy since about last friday.

OK everyone... I've crunched some numbers and have decided that (unless DT_Fanatic miraculously manages to get all his matches done,) Collingwood is now withdrawn from the comp (I hear a lot of rejoycing).

As such, the options are:
1) Leave the ladder as is.
2) As above and remove all Collingwood results (4 teams lose a win each).
3) Remove the Pies' results and merge all results where teams played each other twice (so everyone will be judged on 15 results total). This means if you lost both encounters to a team, you only record 1 loss... if you won both encounters, you only record 1 win... if you lost one and won one, the aggregate margin determines the winner (if both margins are equal, then it is a draw).
4) Give everyone a "win" for all Collingwood results.

The pros and cons....
1) Pros: everyone knows their current record as it stands. Cons: Some people will have played 22 games, some play 21, some will only play 20.
2) Pros: Collingwood results removed. Cons:An uneven number of games played (some 21, some 20).
3) Pros: Equal amount of "games played". Cons: Some teams' records are drastically affected.
4) Pros: Equal amount of "games played". Cons: Teams are "gifted" wins.

In terms of the ladder, option 3 disadvantages Sydney. They lose a number of wins. It also advantages Adelaide, who lose a number of losses. Everyone else stays thereabouts to where they are currently.

Option 4 advantages Port Adelaide the most, in that they get 2 extra wins.

My preference is to go with option 4. Everyone gets wins. Some teams will benefit from two extra wins. Some will only get 1. Some will get the win they actually had to play for. But I want your opinions. I'll still have the final say, but I'd like to get somewhat of a group consensus.

I would say that option 3 is no go. Apart from the fact it'll be a lot of work, it also means Brownlow, Coleman Medal are also affected (how do we "merge" votes?).

Option 4 means no Brownlow votes for a number of games, unfortunately. It also affects %. If anyone has any ideas, let me know? Perhaps you can play the AI in these games and submit your results?

In any case, let me know your thoughts, guys.

Add games for everyone who plays DTfanatic twice ie make them play someone else again.

Every other Collingwood game removed?

Could work... maybe.

EDIT: Yep. reckon it will work, just make us all play eachother once. There are an even number of teams with two games against collingwood. Should work no?

4 seems fine to me, in terms of keeping things even in as many areas as possible. If treated like a forfeit, that would involve just playing Collingwood on legendary for 12 mins and giving those scores and stats.

Option 4 imo, seems the most fair as judging by the results (and this is in no disrespect to DT_fanatic) playing Collingwood seemed to be close to an automatic win anyway.

It just evens it out a bit, for people who didn't get to play DT they now get a win.
I've come to the realisation that I'm probably not going to make finals now anyway. Makes me no less keener to knock off a couple of games tonight! I'm pretty sure there was a slim hope before the whole DT debacle, but now that Lurk3r gets a couple of free wins... :p

Best of luck to all and mad props to Jorel for setting this up - Cheers buddy! :thumbsu:

Agree strongly Gibbsy, this comp has been remarkably well-run from start to (almost) finish.

Daresay it's done wonders for everyone's level of play too. Certainly seeing the benefits myself; just beat the 2nd ranked bloke on PSN to give him his 23rd loss in 429 games, as an unedited Bulldogs against the Saints with Sandilands... And it was 1v2.
And yet he felt like a walk in the park compared to Scooty!

I don't like this, I thought I may have been a chance to actually win a game. Lol.

Once again a very even game aside from a period of massive momentum my way, this time taking place in the 3rd quarter. General play was certainly far closer than the scoreline suggests.
