Beer: Having some non German stuff in Corona atm. Goes fine since I'am going to watch Heartworn Highways now, the DVD arrived yesterday.

Other stuff I got recently (Not everything metal):

Bain Wolfkind - Music for Lovers & Gangsters
Ares Kingdom – Veneration
Matt Elliott - Drinking Songs
Deceased – Surreal Overdose
Desaster – We Got Rock 7"
Sadistic Intent - Reawakening Horrid Thoughts 12"
Eurynomos - Fierce Alliance 7"
Eurynomos - Eye of the Pantheon 7"
Eurynomos - Unchained from the Crypt 7"

In for a decent mix.

just heard the new first fragment - ****ing hell!
the best bits of necrophagist/obscura (x 10) - amazing chops (but not just pointless noodling), it's still fast as shit, and has awesome production/mix.

find of the year for me

very honourable mention for the new vale of pnath too

I seem to be on a real tech-death kick at the moment, but also enjoying the remastered scream bloody gore too :)

tech death's really not my cup of tea though i like later Suffocation, Gorguts (still not as much as earlier stuff of those bands) and particularly Decapitated - Winds of Creation

i think some old school tech stuff is pretty cool though like Demilich, Atrocity, Polluted Inheritance etc

^ You're the first person I've heard say Nespithe is overrated. It definitely receives a lot of fellation, but it really is a good album. I love it but I don't really harp on about it to the degree that some people do. Would have been great to see them live

Just noticed I cut my sentence off. Was meant to read "...than the studio".

Picked up this compilation today. "Riding the Storm, The Very Best of the Noise Years 1983 -1995".

32 songs.

Was thinking of dropping the $20 on it. Be a good compilation for the car.

Noticed that the UJR cover is on there twice and Blazon Stone isn't.

Hadn't slept for 24 hours or so and went into Disc Union Shibuya and dropped $300 or so. Mixture of stuff I am after, collection fillers and other assorted items. Will go back after sleeping and really look. Will also go to Shinjuku store. Was a bit let down they didn't have the new Vektor, Denner/Sherman or Interment albums. This store is really good for classic metal fans Dee Snider

been blasting a hell of a lot of 70's priest lately, easily one of my fave bands. absolute legend. i think stained class is their best but by only the slightest of margins

Went to the Shinjuku store today, it had the Vektor album. Picked up another 15 or so cds. Early night tonight - the 10 pints of Guinness last evening has sort of taken the wind out of my sails.

KISStroyer & War Pigs @ Shoppingtown Hotel 2nite.
Ahh shit, was meaning to go to that, saw the sign out the front a while back. Would have been good to chuck a metal gig into what was a footy & beer soaked weekend!

Not sure who these guys are but been giving this track a run lately:

Is this the US Malice? They released two albums in the mid 80s. Classic US metal sound. Couple of years back they rerecorded a heap of their songs with James Riveria from Helstar on vocals.
