Really bad Chief... white on white is hard to look at for any length of time and I can spend three or four hours a day on here on weekends.

Is there a choice at all?

Just so we’re clear, which part is “white on white”?

I have a six-year old computer and I see no appreciable difference - what are you running? My phone is at least 4 years old and same goes.

There's too many objects on screen when reading a post in a thread for me. Too clustered. I'd like it if it was more minimal. Especially the 'report', 'share', 'tweet' etc. buttons. I'll get by though.

I'm running a 2011 MacBook Air with a few other processes running (and, honestly, about 30 chrome tabs).

That said, I usually access via mobile through Tapatalk, so I dunno if my feedback is all that useful.

another one - on the navigation panel on a club board, it no longer displays Forums. It displays like this

Home -> Clubs -> Adelaide instead of Home -> Forums -> Clubs -> Adelaide

I know humans just generally don't like change very much (just ask Facebook or Twitter every time they try to change to anything new). But as someone who usually tries to embrace change rather than complain about it I still have to say the new theme just seems like a downgrade. I don't have any issues with it on desktop, but on mobile everything just looks extremely cluttered, crowded and unpleasant to navigate and look at. A few times today I've opened big footy, been reminded of the new theme, then immediately closed it again and decided to do something else.

I love this site and I'll get used to the new look eventually, but it's not going to be a fun journey.

All the boxes are either the palest shade of gray or slightly shaded white. So the surround of the avatars, the 'Messages have been posted ...' message, quotes etc. All the bits that were varying shades of gray have now either gone or been washed out so that you are basically looking at white on white. It makes for a lot of glare... not keen on the dotted lines either but I could get used to that.

You dont feel compelled to post or spend time on here. The layout is a mass deterrent.
Just doesnt stand out as modern and simple. Thats the issue.

Yeah Chief, just change up the banner colours above each post. I agree, white on white looks horrid. Almost any other colour would be better. It seriously must be a few mouse clicks worth of work to implement?

I'd be interested to know how many people tweet or share their posts to Facebook. Wouldn't that remove your privacy, which is part of the reason you go on a forum and not on Facebook pages?

Need a night mode/dark theme switch like Reddit RES. Requested one even with the old forum layout, but becomes an even bigger need now.

Chief, Just tested it out. Desktop version is miles better. Can only suggest reformatting the mobile version to make it easier on the eye. No problems with the desktop version that haven't already been posted.

I'm using a 32" monitor. Can't look at this giant all white screen for more than a few minutes at a time without seeing spots and getting a migraine. People say you'll get used to it, but I generally will spend less time on a site that is too bright.

You can disable he social buttons in your personal preferences. I flicked them off this morning as they were overlapping with content on mobile.

I'm finding there's not enough contrast, everything kinda just blends together.

Some examples;
- the difference between read threads titles, and thread titles with new posts.
- the user profile blends in with the post
- posts with replies in them
- separation between posts

It's all very white and bright, and a strain on the eyes. IMO.

+1 for night mode or similar.
