Odobert looked promising again but simons still off it doesnt help not having any threat outside two wingers
Simons would work better if he had Bergvall running around with him for 60 minutes + filling in the gaps but no, Thomas just has to play this terrible double pivot all the time...

Absolutely sick and tired of Bentancur man, gives us absolutely nothing going forward in terms of ball movement and he's not better than Palhinha defensively

The most noticeable thing we've see is Danso on long throws, not overly thrilling is it
If it wasn't for Kudus we would create nothing in open play and it seems to be getting worse as we get further into the season

Not worried at all.

Once we get a competent LW and Kulu and Madders return to AM we'll start to see what we can do.

Atm we are heavily reliant on Kudus but still happy with Frank.

Tel and Odobert look like wasted money

A ballsy selection like Palhinha with Sarr/Bergvall or Bentancur with Gray/Bergvall wouldn't be a bad idea some time soon. Hard to judge Simons with the terrible combo behind him.
I don't get why Bergvall doesn't start

He will make the runs Xavi needs around him

seen a few people calling out Frank for this. Bergvall was (close to?) our player of the season last campaign. Not getting a big look in.

Same as Sarr, played 90 in the opening practice matches and hardly getting a look in since.

Sarr was playing early in the season and i thought he was going to explode this season. Now stuck behind bentancur

Didn't see the game but was looking at the player ratings. This was the comment on Bentancur

This then plays Bergvall out of position. Again. Not sure what Frank's obsession with this set up is.

Hoddle on commentary was quizzed by his co-commentator on fan unrest over the "double pivot" by stating that it works away from home, and did again this morning. Insisting that we needed another in midfield.

Which was a tactical change Frank made around 75 minutes or so after Minamino had 3 guilt edged chances to score in about five minutes. Brought Spence on for Kudus and moved Gray to midfield. After that we were far more comfortable and saw out the draw.

Double pivot working wonders that half.
As it does away from home.

Need to consider subs to wide players, wingers or fullbacks and in CM to quell the threat out wide Everton are posing. Too many crosses going in.

Can't see a world where we don't have a rotated squad for Thursday morning in the cup.
Newcastle away is a tough cup fixture but so is Chelsea in the league. Likely rotated for Copenhagen next week with United on that weekend.

Want to see Sarr, Bergvall and Gray (FB) starts in midweek.

Always a good scout for talent David Pleat.
Talking about his new book says he told Levy that if City bid on Kane to grab two academy kids off them.

Delap and Palmer.
As it turns out, he said City never even picked up the phone to bid for him and signed Grealish instead.
