Interesting

Wonder if the likes of well known thugs Clattermole, Tiote and Barton have copped those sorts of numbers before?
Cattermole and Tiote both have a career high of 14 in a season. Paul Ince also has 14 as does Robbie Savage, Dacourt and Mark Hughes.

It'd be hard to get 20 when in order to get 20 you'd have had 8 games out through suspension.

You'd nearly need to get 1 every single game

Haha @ the chelsea thread
so tinpot. Fulham are looking for season ticket holders and it'd help them fill their midweek fix of football next season.

We see our draws with them and arsenal at home as missed oppurtunities, they're celebrating them. That's why they are 9th and we are top 4. Sad to say it but that used to be us pre-Jol

Would Man city carry on like this against say Liverpool if a home draw cost them a title whilst being abject failures? And I use Liverpool as there are only 2 sides in manchester and using United would be like us and arsenal, Chelsea-Spurs/Arse is a secondary rivalry over there. The gooners i met over there said even when they were both going for titles our game was the one they felt was their bigger rivlary game

I know on this board kizz and moomba definitely wouldn't be going on like that about their 2nd or 3rd rival.

Over in London its hard for them to have that similar NLondon derby because out west QPR are so crap & Fulham are so soft and nice to everyone.
Apparently Everton is more hated instead of Liverpool by City

Yeah at least when you look at West Ham and Chelsea, West Ham have a proper rivalry with Millwall because of the hooliganism and firms and all that, just they don't play in the same league that often because Millwall are shit

The small club mentality was not lost on Harry :hearts:

"When the ex-champions are celebrating like they won the league at the end, it shows that we're doing something right," he told the BBC.

"We've just got to keep doing what we're doing, we've got a great bunch of lads, a great manager, great staff and we've just got to keep that and keep moving forward."

Make him captain :)

I used to be on a football group on FB that had way too many Chelski fans (2012 was unbearable and I quit it shortly after)

The sensible, rational ones always considered us as a threat/sleeping giant and Arsenal didn't scare them one bit

Hhhmmmmmmm

Seriously

The club needs to be absolutely roasted after that display, but they won't be because of Leicesters triumph

I will never share the same optimism about the club with you Geelong and Hawthorn fans who have seen plenty of success recently elsewhere

Until the club shows some intent and the Chairman shows bonafide initiative and actually goes into a season with a complete squad we will be the same. Like seriously it's a miracle Kane and Dier have got through the season so far in their positions.

The mental state is still the same, Spursy still lives, that needs to be sorted out also

1W-4D-1L in London Derbies this season where we've been the better team in all bar the West Ham loss, it's not good enough

It is no different to AVB/Redknapp, we've neither regressed or progressed, we are only 2nd/3rd this year because the other big sides slid

It's a wasted opportunity, we will never get the same opportunity until the new stadium comes and are able to retain our best players
I was going through the MD thread and saw this.

I like you pups and think you're a good poster but this is some of the biggest load of shit I have seen from a Spurs fan in a long time. Sure it's disappointing to miss the title but this season has been a success in almost every other conceivable way. To blame Poch is completely ridiculous, considering he's the one that has improved our club so much over the lst two years to the point where so many people talk about us as one of the most exciting clubs in Europe with a team with a ridiculous amount of potential.

We have not 'bottled it' at all. We were always playing catchup to Leicester, we didn't let anything slip. We should be immensely proud of this season as it has been a massive success. All we need now is to finish above Woolwich to put the cherry on top.

Also, I'm going to go against the grain here, but I ****ing loved the nasty aggression that we showed this morning. The Dembele hand near Costa's eye overstepped the mark but I didn't have a problem with much else.

Dier came out after the game and said that they weren't happy with a lot of what Hazard and Fabregas had said in the media leading up to the game and that they were determined not to be bullied like they had been in the past. He said that he wanted to stand up to them and that's exactly what we did. Some of the challenges at the end from the likes of Dier and Mason were nasty, but I think a lot of that was the emotion of the occassion spilling over into the game and also a determination to win the ball back as soon as possible to try to get a goal to keep us in the fight.

I also can't believe some of the shit Mason cops on here as well. He's the perfect squad player, a Spurs fan (a commentator said he was a Chelsea fan growing up, but he himself has said he was a Spurs fan as a kid) and someone happy to play off the bench. He missed a good chance to go 3-1 today but that's not the reason we lost the game and everyone, even Kane, misses chances; look at his missed shots against West Brom last week. I think also a lot of people forget just how good he was last season alongside a teenager in Bentaleb and ahead of a defence that often contained the likes of Chiriches and Fazio. He's a much better footballer than many people claim.

+1 on that

Never give up on the dream

COYS

Just watched a 40minute exposé/doco on Roman.

As a UK resident why on earth does the FA allow him still?

Honestly I'd rather our trophy barren recent history over all their ill gotten accolades.

I have no idea. I think the "fit for purpose" thing they brought in for potential owners of takeovers was introduced post Abromovich.

The man is perhaps to powerful now to bring down. Just imagine being owned by someone like that.

Was that some guy on sky?

I don't think it'll ever be known exactly what goes on in Russia so it'd be very hard for him to get caught out. This might go against the norm as a spurs supporter but I probably hate what they are as a club more than arse. A club that is owned by a shady individual is one thing and I don't hate them for that, but couple it with the fair weather supporter base & racist bigot of a captain and it's just a terrible club. It definitely draws in a type of supporter too would you agree WR?

Yes by and large it does. Chelsea used to be affiliated with the National Front (a far right political party - much more extreme than the French version) and then the British National a Party and lately the English Defense League. All parties that have some very unscrupulous members. They also politically ally themselves with Glasgow Rangers - a union that has ties through loyalists in Northern Ireland. They are the only English club to have this liaison to my knowledge. Of course lately this brand of support may have been superseded by the plastic fans that now follow them. Basically it is a very undesirable club to follow and people will still pass judgement on you when they learn you support them.

This is a very famous doc made what must be getting on for over 10 years ago now. Gives you an insight into the typical Chelsea fan. Hopefully it's not blocked in your part of the world:

Just saw a clip of all the tackles. Dier is an absolute brute. Love it.

Think I said very early in the seaosn (after an interview he gave after the 4-1 city win) I think he definitely has captain about him and whilst lashing out isnt normally a good thing against them it definitely was and he lead the charge. You see it in most games he is the 1st one there when something semi erupts. A JV to Dier change for VC for next year would be good with an eventual hand over from Lloris for the main job.

Great thing is all of Dier, Toby, Kane & Rose have that in their locker

Was that German at the beginning?

I keep re-watching this and nodding my head in agreement with Barnaby about their fans and players. So bang on point. They stand for nothing.

What I gained from watching that doco was the reinforcement that he is a murderous, pathological sociopath.
He is no different to having a cannibalistic African despot being in charge of a football club.
Unfortunately in this world justice is bought by power and money. One can hope he will be made accountable for his crimes one day, but I wouldn't hold my breath.
For the rest of the season, 3 points at home against Soton so that the under 21s can play at St.James Park. For some reason even though they are black and white, I don't mind Newcastle. An all Spanish Europa Final. F... LOLPOOL!! And an all Spanish CL Final. F... Arab Oil City too!
As for Cheatski....F... them forever.

Dembele likely to get more than a 3 match ban after being charged.

Both clubs charged with failing to control their players. Lamela got off (eat shit Cesc you sook). Walker had nothing to answer for either.

Question for our UK posters WealstoneRaider Hawkforce are the noises about transfers or players that are close getting any more profound in the UK?

Been reading social media and Spurs based forum media and there seems to be more and more comments about Batshuayi being closer to getting done?

Personally if there's one player I'd be in the ear of, trying to lure him to a UCL club, it'd be Lukaku. Premier league proven, can bang in goals and would give us flexibility of playing 2 genuine strikers shall we need to chase a game, can allow tinkering with formations etc. probably wouldn't happen but he doesn't look happy at Everton, I'd love us to try and shake him loose from that tree!

Can't answer that NSFB as i don't pay too much attention to all that. Best place is too check out one of theSpurs forums where they are big on that. Nothing substantial being reported in the media that I've seen.
