at the moment i think that richmond could have the biggest clean out of players in the leage along with adelaide they might delist many players

2) M. Chaffy
3) R. Hall
4) A. Fiora
5) T. Zantuc
the only safe player would be Stafford, Brown Cracker, Cougland and Richo and bowdan after a solid year fair call?

I don't agree with you on stafford or hall. Stafford had been very ordinary this year. The game has left him behind and he needs to go.

Hall- Unless we can draft a decent big defender we cant afford to let him go. He's been on the best forwards all year and had done pretty well considering he's been thrown to the lions

Keep Hall. Get rid of Gaspar, trade him to the Coasters.
Possibly keep one of Fiora and Zantuck, depending on your choice of coach.

Trade Richo. Get some backup players and a decent pick.

I still love the bloke tons. There has been alot of talk about the lions wanting to get him when lynch retires to do that sort of role but he question is who do we get for him.

I really do think we are way to one dimensional with richo in the square. We could have the resting ruckman forward with zantuck and bradshaw leading out of the square. Im not really sure what would u guys take for richo?

Last year was our last chance to trade Richo. He's now contracted to 2006 and if Gas is going to be traded then we can't afford to be paying even in part for two hefty salaries for blokes playing elsewhere. .

Although I'm not against the idea of trading Richo that type of deal will do nothing for us wrenny in terms of rebuilding our list. Remember that Bradshaw is being supplied pinpoint passes by Voss, Black, Aker, Lappin, Power, etc. He ain't going to get that type of service from our current midfield! Notting is just a fringe player albeit a useful one for the Lions.

Richo goes onto the veterans list next year. His contract will be backended as a result and therefore allthough we might save real dollars we won't save much in salary cap terms by trading him.

Stafford and Marsh might as well stay. We are not going to get better backup ruckmen for a reasonable price and if they go Ottens can blackmail us. Keep the 3 and recruit a kid or two to develop for the next 3-4 years.

they would amount to being as effective as Morrison and weller.....to even think about it we would need to see Brennan, Luke Power and first draft choice

I think there are quite a few in the queue ahead of this lot to be delisted. Zantuck would probably be the most vulnerable as he seems to be a bit out of favour at the moment. One or two of these may be put up for trade, but as we will only get something similar in return there is no real point.

Richo - no footy brain what so ever , Should have gone to St Kilda in 94 for Lockett , if we could get anything for him now it would be a bonus
Ottens - I reckon i display more passion putting out the garbage on a Monday night than he does on the footy field , plays like footy is the 16 th most important thing in his life , trade now while we can still get top value
Stafford - Was rumoured to have had Differences with most of his team mates in SYD , plays the same way down here , time to move him on
Tivendale - 24 carat pure frontrunner , Where is he generally when the opposition are piling them on ?
Hall - Just not up to it , anyone who thinks he could be full back/ centre HB in a top 4 team are kidding themselves

All should be shopped around

Add to that Hilton (no brain) Fleming (no skill ) Houlihan (past it)
Rodan (never been consistent, to small ) Nichols (what were we thinking) Fletcher (ditto )

Cambo , Kellaway , Rogers retired .............. thats a pretty good start i reckon

Big question marks on Gasper , Chaffey , but would you get anything for them

When you say cleanout it needs to be more our bottom ten who just arent up to it not necessarily our top players.

Id like to see our better players in a side with less duds.

I think its the bottom ten that really make it difficult to see what Ottens and Richardson really can be as footballers. Very hard to play well in a team that is being beaten in so many positions. Especially when you are in the forward line.

I`ll tell you why , fantastic he won us a couple of games off his own boot this year , finally , games we were probably better off losing because A: we would finish bottom and get the picks we so desperately need B: if we didn`t win those games Spud might of gotten the flick earlier and might have been in with a shot at Getting Sheedy if we had more time, but any way i digress

Youve mentioned the couple good deeds he has done this year but would about the games he has cost over the years , his pathetic Kicking , his shocking , petulant attitude and body language , his inability to capitalise on teams good work . Anyone that has played the game will tell you that , that sort of stuff spreads through the team like a cancer . How do you warrant or justify that ?
