That's a bit harsh, he's really only playing his 2nd season of first class cricket. He played for Australia U/19's and he bowled well in the 2nd innings of the NSW draw.
I rate him as a future spinner, may not be good enough for Australia but he's young - give him time.

Zammit's in the same basket - 22 yrs old, 1st season of first class.

Funny I thought that Jacques was lucky to be selected in NSW's XI with his form. Proved me wrong with the effort in the 2nd dig today!

NSW has had lots of duds in recent years, they all find their way into other states XI's! Rummans :)

There's a lot worse than that bunch getting around.

NSW - Bollinger. 8 games (batting ave of 2 and bowling ave of 60)

QLD - Muller (no longer contracted but still about). As Warnie said...can't bowl, can't bat etc . Enough said!

SA - Multiple choice. Higgs, Davies, Johnson, Manou, Harris and almost able to add Flower based on his output this season

TAS - Divenuto no longer up to 1st class standard, Cunningham & Kremerskothen.

VIC - Klinger & Joseland (although he has the talent to be a player)

WA - Angel

If you are joking, you are not funny.

If you are being serious, you are a tool.

EDIT: I originally said moron, but I now feel that tool is far more appropriate.

Muller was a good player with a good record for QLD.

He didn't do that badly for Aus either, it's just a shame what should've been the highlight of his life was turned into a nightmare. I wouldn't call a first class bowling average of 23.48 bad.

Warne's a complete suckhole for that incident and so is channel 9.

You're just being an idiot, Voice detentor confirmed that it wasn't Warne, only the Panel decided to make a big deal outta it. Warne's a naughty piece of ****, but some of the things he was accused of doing were false.

I'd imagine no one would care when a man and his niece were just found guilty of trying to 'con' Warne and CA, Warne's always guilty, isn't he

Well who cares who said it COOL ONE , my major point was that the whole incident soured the bloke's greatest sporting achievement and that Muller is not a dud like he has been made out to be.

Average 23.48, not bad in my eyes.

Muller's the one who had a paranoia over it and had it in mind that Warne said it, when he didn't and tried all he can to prove to Muller. It's partly Muller's fault that this got this bad, if a bloke comes up to me and say "you can't bowl, can't throw", I'm just try to get wickets and field well and make him eat humble pie, not getting paranoid and angry over it.

I don't agree with you from what I know but who cares.

Muller is not a dud. If I had to think of an QLD dud over the last 10 years - there aren't any. :D

Whereas the 10 or 69 years years before that, there were plenty.

NSW: Shaun Bradstreet (hack)

QLD: Daniel Payne (atrocious record)

SA: Shane Deitz (I've already had plenty to say about deitz)

TAS: Scott Mason (In 23 matches his 2nd highest score is about 61)

VIC: Andrew McDonald (sorry I just don't rate this guy)

WA: No one really obvious here. They've weeded out a lot of the dead wood in their bowling stocks and I'm not familiar with a lot of their newer bowlers. Perhaps Meuleman (opening batsmen seems to be a theme here) has been lucky to get a lot of chances for not much results, I think he has talent though.

Send him over to WA, we'll have him.

Perhaps someone can help me out with a certain WA dud - cant remember the name.

He was a leggie, maybe 10 years back now, he may have only played one or two games. I distinctly remember him sending down a bowl in a state game that bounced twice before it reached the batsman.

I dont think he was seen in a WA team after that! :D

Dammit, I remember the bloke your talking about, but not his name:mad:. I'll have to consult the brains trust (That being Dad, who was in the state squad at the time but didn't play any games)

What about Brad Hogg?

no

i reckon the biggest dud in the current warriors side is micheal thistle. IMO he is a club cricketer at best who is getting a game because WAs fast bowling cupboard is as thin as it has ever been

Oi. I picked out Angel for similiar reasons to DiVenuto. Well past his prime and tried not picking on a youngster with prospects of redeeming their slow starts to their career (Bollinger doesn't fit into this category).

FWIW - Sth Aust have the worst squad in Oz by a country mile. A lot of older players and less youngsters with talent than most other states.

While WA - will have a shocker year, they will bounce back sooner rather than later, with Sth Aust the most likely candidate for the wooden spoon in 2004/05.

QLD: Hopes by a country mile but Payne is not too far behind. The fact both of them were out of the side for the Pura wins and the ING wins against the Redbacks says something.

SA: I would have to say Mark Higgs would have to be the worst. Surely the Redbacks have somone better........

SA still has Jeff Vaughan playing in our second eleven - he is a fair dinkum shocker. Worst player ever to play for SA almost. Time and time again he would not play at balls and be bowled or out lbw.

Deitz has had a better year than Flower or Higgs and is on a par with Cosgrove or probably better on runs scored.

Deitz has at least been consistent.

VIC: Andrew McDonald (sorry I just don't rate this guy)

Obviously hindsight is a beautiful thing, but, it is funny that the 2 guys that you are talking about are the only 2 guys that performed in the 2nd innings of that game just completed.

Mueleman has a first class century to his name against South AFrica including Alan Donald on a WACA pitch, that alone should signal the guy has got talent.

That and the fact he is a melville boy!!!!!
