For what the number one pick represents for the future prospects of a club and the elation of its supporters it has to be Jack Watts! No two ways about it IMO! He is a good player and he may even be better in time but a number one pick? Get the fugg out.

Jack would look like a top draft pick in a better side.

Look at how many careers PAFC ruined during its darkest days. Melbourne is in the same dark patch but hopefully under Roos they can turn it around.

Like Boak, Watts may start to show what he can do with a better structure and team around him.

Times have changed for recruiting. The 80s & 90s were more lucky dip. Top 20 of the 80s & 90s are more like the 50+ picks these days.

You should really only look at the past decade of recruiting as the systems are so much better now.
