Just watched the first 6 episodes, i'm a bit confused though are they trying to make Axe some kind of wall street tony soprano. I'm finding Giamatti so unlikable and just want Axe to win despite knowing he's the 'bad' guy

I'm the same. Have they actually showed something of Axe doing anything illegal. I will need to watch again because I can't recall.

Hes obviously insider trading and getting his guys to do it for him, the trucking company, selling the telco shares etc.

But the Giamatti just comes across as a knob like how he treated the farmer whereas axe is the charismatic bad guy like tony soprano was albeit white collar crime

Bit of a nothing episode, but still loving the show. Axe is just awesome....sort of a good/bad guy. Solid storyline that keeps you hanging....looking forward to the remainder of the series

Excellent ep this week:thumbsu:
Agree, some good twists and fantastic acting. Paul G is bloody awesome as is Brody, just checked and there are 12 episodes in the series which gives it time to build.

Watched first two episodes last night and really enjoyed them.

Damien Lewis and Paul Giamatti both seem to have good character roles with lots of depth. Having two main characters on either side of the story keeps the pace of the show fast with lots happening in each episode.

Looking forward to the next ep.
Very good quality, if not somewhat predictable, drama.

Very nice plan ...hopefully he pulls it off and I can't stand that fat controlling bastard.

I don't understand it at all why they make him so shit. They even had the Dad at the dinner go on a diatribe about being good and the sidekick still sunk a random bloke for the good of the case

Yeah it strange how they made that whole family unlikable...I did like the twist so hopefully it pays off

I think it's good that they've made the good guy and the bad guy have a reverse affect on the viewer. You should be rooting for Rhoades on paper, but the way it's played out has you in favour of the dirty inside trader. Different dynamic, the show wouldn't be as good as it otherwise.
