the kid is a future 250 game player. I have no doubt. He is a gun.

Imagine a young fellow with obvious talent being held out all season despite his current form to only be given an opportunity because of the bs that just happened.
Finals audition today Billy. Make it so you cannot be overlooked for Week 1!!

Absolutely. Him ,Zac Taylor and Bond all came in last last year due to injuries and all had an impact . All 3 have had to wait to get a look in again.

This is fair, I don’t blame Nicks for seeing these more experienced players as first choice considering you’re now pushing for the flag. Do feel for Billy though

Pretty much, alongside Curtin being earmarked for wing in preseason. Just the additional talent meant Dowling was left without a seat.

Still, doing exactly what he needs to so he's in the best 22 next week.

You should bear in mind the other side of his story is that he was very loose on his opponent who also kicked two goals, one of which while he was definitely on him, the other, I'm not sure.

Bit rusty early yesterday but thought he worked into the game well. Gets into very good positions and knows where the goals are, and importantly, takes his chances.

Holds his spot against Collingwood in two weeks.
