I have to admit that I have been waivering a bit over the captaincy question. If Browny was announced tomorrow as captain, I would still be happy, and I expect Simon would be happy for him as would the entire team.

Leigh has already mentioned a few times that the current co-captain arrangement is working well.

I talked to Simon about this on Saturday at the Family Fun Day in Melbourne and he said "the arrangement is working really well".

Our boys have won two consecutive games (even if they are disparaged as only NAB cup games) so something is going right.

From all interviews heard the co-captain system sounds like it is going to happen. Very hard to jump into a roll just vacated by M.Voss, Black and Brown are clearly the two best options and having them plus Power in a setup similar to the Lynch and Voss 5 years ago will be good.

I must admit that I'm less polarised as well. To me Blacky is too introverted to be a natural leader, but from the snippets I've seen he is looking a lot more confident in addressing the players. And it seems the players are responding. I'm starting to think that it will be hard for Browny to get the nod given he has had no preseason games thus far to prove himself. I'm almost certain now that there will be multiple captains this year, it's just a matter of how many.

I think renaming the award to the "Jonathan Brownlow" would make more sense.

Simon Black is the class act that has largely helped get us into the NAB Grand Final, and put forward a big claim to the captaincy, I think he will make a great co captain, I think the BB (Brown Black) combination is getting more apitising by the day. Even Voss said it would be good during Friday nights telecast.
