Wanted to bump this for discussion again, especially with trade week beginning tomorrow, as I think plenty may have missed it last week as I didn't get the abuse that I thought I would.

IMO the Bock compo pick will be offered to Richmond and our 2nd Round pick to Carlton

need to consider that Jacobs is out of contract as was Mumford and Hudson when they were traded for 2nd round picks

Adelaide may be prepared to use players such as Sellar or Cook as sweetners, however pick 14 wont be on the table

If it is true that there a a few clubs that are really interested then we should be looking for the best deal we can get starting point should be the Bock compo pick if we can get better then we take that.

Surely with Tambling looking and speaking to the Crows, something can be sorted with them using Sellar as the main carrot and them adding or swapping some worthwhile draft picks.

I would have thought he is a player that would hold some interest for us? talented, 21 - 196cm, 95kg - key position type who can also play ruck when required

Given Adelaide are intersted in Tambling and Jacobs, Richmond are interested in Grigg and getting decent picks or players for Tambling & Thursfield and Carlton want to be compensated for losing a couple of kids they have put a few years of development into I'm wondering if all 3 could get together and work out a three team trade.


Looking at what each offers it could mean something like the following:

Richmond loses Tambling Thursfield & 28. Gain Grigg 14 & 18
Carlton loses Grigg Jacobs & 18. Gain Thursfield, Bock compo pick, Tigers second round pick
Adelaide loses 14 & Bock compo pick. Gains Tambling & Jacobs.

I would be absolutely stoked if this happened, however, just don't think Adelaide will be keen to depart with so much currency.
It is perfect from a Tiger perspective and a passable trade for Carlton.
Essentially Carlton trade Jacobs and Pick 18 for Bock Compo pick (~26 if Geelong don't use their picks) and Thursfield. Also, get Grigg for our 2nd rounder, which is more than we would be willing to trade otherwise. Both Grigg and Sauce have walked out on Scum, so this is a win for them to get so much in return.
I think Adelaide would be enticed into this deal if they could keep Bock's pick and use their 2nd rounder (33-36). As such, Carlton would lose Sauce and pick 18 for Thursfield and Pick 33-36... Don't think they would do this.. Therefore, this trade will get messy.. Hoping CC is thinking along these lines anyway!!

NO DEAL!!! With 9 suiters for Tambling we can surely do better than a pick around 26 and a 4th round upgrade..
