Update 6th June …

Fantasia out injured - (AC joint sprain)

The only player who came in and did not re- injure himself was marchbank and he played a week in the VFL- Tells you something
Tells you that they probably would have also injured themselves in the VFL also. If they're deemed fit to play they're able to run out a game whether it be VFL or AFL. They may not have the same 'touch' after a lengthy lay off but that's a different kettle of fish.

I'd be concerned with Motlop coming straight back into the 1's.
Think he needs a run first. A toe that turned into a double hammy injury doesn't really fill me with confidence he will be cherry ripe.

Saad and Fog straight back in please.

The Fantasia v Durdin debate is interesting. Both have been ordinary this year. Both also have potential upside, we really need one of them to find it though. At the very least need to bring constant pressure like Fog has since being reintroduced last year.

Totally different pace of game. At VFL level, if a player feels a twinge, he will come off straight away, at AFL level, he will push it to a greater limit

The same Jeremy McGovern whose body blew up after 6 seasons of Senior Footy (he didn't play until he was 22) causing him to miss between 7 and 15 games each of the last 3 years.

Weitering has had a couple of injuries across his journey, and yet he's played 167 career games already. McGovern has played 185 total. I find this an utterly absurd comparison if you are talking about durability. Weitering is a good chance to finish his career more than 100 games past McGovern.

We’ve had so many injuries (weekly) that these media/TV outlets know they can use us as click bait and people will watch. Good thing this one was pretty much a nothing story.

Durds has been ordinary since 2022. Perhaps he's a bust. He should be better than he is, but Troy Menzel.

Had to check your stats, that is quite remarkable

There was a sense early in his career, that Weiters lacked the capacity to play good footy with a niggle, overcome discomfort etc...

Such criticism was valid then, but certainly not now.

Bloke's a warrior.

Managed.

They are taking the piss now. They have no idea whether anyone can stand the rigours of the game.

“Uhm. s**t dunno. Play him? Oh sorry. I mean… He’s right to play for sure. I think.”
So people complain that our injury prone players aren’t being managed correctly, then they see that they are being managed, and they crack it?

Hes played 10 games in about 4 years, maybe he was a bit sore? Maybe they don’t want to play him before a 5 day break, in a game where he’s potentially going to be needed?

Defensive continuity is everything. If Marchy was a risk, play him in reserves until he proves it....given his history he was a risk.

Poor.

Continuity is a lot, but you’re just not going to get it from some of these guys. So if he is indeed “managed”, I would’ve thought that would be met with praise from many on here, no?

Not sure what the injury is but Lemmey is not playing in the VFL today and it just says (injured). Wasn't on the injury list released on Tuesday.
