Because we seem to have a history of trading for other clubs less than excellent players... he looks good in GWS because he is surrounded by champion players. At Carlton, any shortcomings he has would be clearly visible.

I would much rather that we didn't do a second round swap of picks as it would be likely that if Rice nominates Carlton for father-son that the Saints would nominate him with their second round pick forcing the Blues to use that Geelong pick on him.
