Not sure what you guys are reading but your posts are near the top of this page and 90% of the last page is discussing an actual Dangerfield rumour.

This thread is what it is. People complained last year. We gave them two threads. They still complain.

They are going to have to suck it up a little. It doesn't hurt them and they have the option to avoid the thread.

I'd suggest an email to the club that we are not just looking for players that want to be at Carlton, we also won't be bent over a barrel for average picks in an average draft because a contracted player wants his new intended club to get a better deal for him. If a player wants to leave, he does his best for us or we do not facilitate an easy trade just to offload their attitude.

We might be rebuilding, we might need draft picks, but we also need respect and bending over in trade deals is not the way forward. I would rather make Yarran wait and lose him for nothing than we held to ransom by vultures.

Henderson nominates Geelong, Carlton goes into the meeting with them and asks for pick 1. Geelong says "no, we'll give you a second round pick for him". Carlton says "sorry... we are using the thy route in negotiations... we can't work like this with stupid people around us" and promptly tells Henderson that they couldnt reach an agreement with Geelong, but Fremantle have offered us a good player and their late first round pick for him... on the plane son, you are going west.

There are an awful lot of post talking about TV show hosts..

My set up is 25 posts per page. Almost the entire last page talked about the Dangerfield rumour. Then the first two posts on this one talked about Robbo.

As stated, we had complaints last year about the rumour thread going off topic and people having to scroll through to find actual rumours. So we created a thread that contains ONLY rumours and we vigilantly remove everything else.

We also had complaints that we don't allow banter and board comaraderie to flow by pigeon holing everything and making it too sterile, removing so many posts. So we allowed them the same leeway they were taking in last years rumour file thread, knowing we had appeased the first complainants by giving them their dedicated thread where they don't have to scroll for rumours.

Now, that first group come back and say 'well we don't want to scroll to read people's thoughts on rumours either'.

Now, I'm a little OCD in different ways but I'm fairly laid back in others. This allows me to cater for different wishes, but I'll be buggered if we are having 3 rumour threads next year.

All that should matter is the rumour ... which you can see without searching ... and having the ability to post your thoughts on the rumour somewhere. The rest people are going to have to be flexible on.

This isn't a clinical ready reference forum for Carlton supporters. It's a living, breathing, moving, vibrant community of ideas, debate, segues, stories, relationships, support, mirth and merriment ... and while we reserve the right to decide when things need to be tidied up and can do so with little backlash, we may choose to do so.

Won't be taunted or harassed into doing so though ... not in this thread, not after dozens of similar explanations last year before we came up with a solution.

Can't ... and won't please everybody.

Some latitude expected from everybody. Can't cater for individuals.

Edit: May have just been lying on a table, that's still a medical test. Could both be true.

So Menz gathering interest from Crows aye… would rather keep Menz tbh - will be one of those guys who takes 4-5 years to hit his straps then will become a star. Trading him to SA (even for a mid-first rounder) wouldn't help us.

I agree, they have a few classy kids running around but I don't really see them being a powerhouse.

There's no real unbelievably good players like Stringer, Bontempelli, Hogan, Cripps and Sheed coming through. Darcy Moore looks like he will be a star but that's it really.
