Lord and a bloke who has not played a game over current B n F.100% - Crippa, Walsh, George & Cerra does not work!
We’ve seen it for years now, when it’s on our terms they win clearance - but move it poorly and it amounts to SFA.
Cerra playing fit is a better footballer than George & significantly more damaging, Walsh/Crippa isn’t a question who better more/damaging.
George is the weak link - has been for years, yes he’s a good player but provides zero damage - football isn’t picked on “who’s a better player but what provides a better result”,
I give zero ****s he won the B&F!
The fact he’s the “best” in club explains how poor our game plan, style and season was.
I will take Lord & Smith over George every single day, we need to evolve - another season of the same slow, crash, bash, exit backwards, no chase, no burst will be a disaster.
George is where we can improve thru evolving the game style.
His skill set is the exact opposite of what we actually need - not saying he doesn’t do what he does well, just saying it’s not what we need to get better!
He’s going to follow Nick Daicos to Tasmania as his personal assistant.
If think we would have a look if we hadn't been so badly burnt by injury prone players and haven't just come to the end of a clean out of those sorts.

On quality, definitely but probably no. Could possibly offer him a spot as a train on player and see how he goes.

Love for us to weave some magic and get Robey (may not be possible, if it impacts walker bid next year).Bit of “after” draft information. Nothing really earth shattering
Sydney were looking to trade mostly players to us for Charlie but couldn’t get many to commit. Rowbottom Campbell McInerney names that said no to a trade early
Charlie had been saying he was gone nearly all year. Gave up on season early. Geelong was preference over Sydney and GCS. As TDK & Jack gone we were happy to let him go for right price.
Humphrey had feelers out to come home and we were serious option. We asked but we’re quickly told not being traded and don’t bother offering anything. Feel he will ask again next year
No interest in Elijah at all. Damaged reputation
Chased Ned Reeves
Didn’t think Khamis would be an issue but Dogs kept changing needs
Absolutely wrapt with Chesser
We were in discussions with Florent even prior to Charlie option
Everything on table for draft. Insiders very excited by Dean & Ison. Will likely pick one more. Some believe Ison easily Top 10
Still looking at DFAs before finalising list
As someone said all of a sudden club has different look and feel and people are excited. Expectations are high and many players training already at club
List should be all good for pre season. Kemp coming along slowly. Cripps etc will be given good break and limited up until New Year
No one sees this as a rebuild.
Apparently he played 16 games this year. I was staggered.Wouldn't think so, bloke has been cooked for a long time now.
Obviously not a North fan, but shoving Boomer Harvey out the door despite clearly having at least 1 more year left still gets me annoyed. Can't believe Brad got support with that decision internally.Brad Scott ruins players. He would be horrible to play for
I’m hoping EH is given an opportunity to reset his life and footy career.
Everyone deserves an opportunity to develop into the best version of oneself. The Club is being transformed, no matter the past indiscretions and whether he was a miscreant, he deserves a chance to redeem his mistakes.
It's amazing on these types of players how many people say something like "Everyone deserves a second chance!" forgetting that for it to get to this point they've probably had about 9 chances by now.How many?
Cripps has never been a good forward option. He hits the score board more playing on ball and rotating forward with a smaller opponent matched against him.Why not be bold and play Crippa as a permanent forward who rotates through the midfield when we need it. I know his goal kicking isn't great, but he's a very good mark and he'll provide pressure when the ball hits the ground.
And his body must be cooked.
Post trade period it was described to me as 'not making sense as the trust was broken'. The implication was he'd used all his chances, eroded the relationship, crossed the point of no return, so to speak. Maybe one or two clubs have a go as a free hit after he's delisted, even that interest is not guaranteed.Just speculating here but on Elijah, I would anticipate that if we delist him he would get an opportunity elsewhere even as a sign on trainer for the off season.
No point expending draft capital when the likelihood of getting him for nothing is on the cards.
I have said it before let’s hope he has turned the corner enough to see out his contract. I know we don’t know what he’s done and the club will make a call and I trust those making the decisions but I’m allowed to dream!!!

Carlton were his 2nd chance club after burning multiple chances at his original club. Then, before the ink was wet on the deal he was suspended for off field indiscretions. Let alone what's happened since.
Professional athletes get arguably too many chances to turn things around. If they can't turn it around with the nigh on unlimited support available to them from the AFL, AFLPA and clubs then the solution isn't yet another chance.
Ill trust the club's decision whatever it isI am all for redemption and second chances but a club doesn't tell a talented young player like him to move on unless it's serious. He has burnt some bridges and bringing him back could cause issues amongst the playing group. At a time when we are trying to improve the club and it's standards not sure we can risk it

Do you think the club would go to him with a deal, he has one last season with us, in that time he gets the opportunity to save his AFL career but he must be moved on at season's end?I am all for redemption and second chances but a club doesn't tell a talented young player like him to move on unless it's serious. Whenever he's played with a proper defender on him he's been poor. Doesn't have the speed off the mark or the contested marking power to beat opponents regularly as a genuine option.
I'd think best case from here is delisted and training for potential rookie/SSP spot which means he needs to keep out of trouble until February just to be considered.Do you think the club would go to him with a deal, he has one last season with us, in that time he gets the opportunity to save his AFL career but he must be moved on at season's end?
Could work out well for all parties if he has a good season at AFL level, keeps himself clean and returns us something in a trade at the end of the year.
Agree, as you said some people get a 2nd change or multiple, but some dont even get 1 chance at itIt's amazing on these types of players how many people say something like "Everyone deserves a second chance!" forgetting that for it to get to this point they've probably had about 9 chances by now.
