How long did Courtney Johns stay on Essendon's list? Or better still, Aaron Henneman? More importantly, how much longer are Essendon going to waste a spot on their list with Jay Neagle? How far does loyalty to an ex-player stretch?

I agree completely....although you have to say it, he has a good kick on him
As for neagle, his been here for 2 1/2 years played a handful of games and has barely any fitness and still kicks goals...4 against geelong? give him some time, having said that i'd love to have someone like kennedy.

Although some may not be happy with Dangles continuing, I know there are at least 2 females that are very happy with him staying...... Onwards & Upwards Army!

Armfield run's like the wind.... can't kick can't mark. Bring's nothing too the team. Rather have Browne take his spot in the team. Nothing against him personally.

Cool. Bower is great. Add some seasoning, muscle and smarts and he's a real good one.

Armfield is... uhh... a guy... called Dennis I think... umm... good luck Armfield. I don't see it yet, but I'm sure it's there.

Very pleased with the re-signing of Bower. He's having a great season and it's going to be very promising with Bower-Waite-Thornton-Jamison and Austin down there in defence.
As for Armfield he just needs more games into him and develop his disposal efficiency. His run off half back is great and it is exciting to see him break the lines and taking risks. Good to see Carlton have faith in him and to re-sign him.

Fantastic news that Bower has re-signed. Whilst I was never particularly worried about him leaving the club in the first place, it is always a relief to sign a player who is undoubtedly a huge part of our plans not only in the present but for many years in the future. Prior to injury Bower was maturing into a fantastic defender and I look forward to witnessing the continued development not only this year when he returns from injury, but for many years down the track.

Congratulations to Armfield as well. Perhaps not as important a signing as Bower in terms of team structure, but important nonetheless. Armfield remains one of the only players who genuinely tries his guts out each and every game, who is willing to run not only forward of the ball to provide drive into attack, but also the other way to put pressure on the opposition when they are carrying the ball into our defensive half. His tackling and pressure is fantastic, and whilst his disposal is quite ordinary, he is still a valuable squad member. Perhaps not a best 22 player down the track but a very very useful depth player at the very least. For him, I suspect this contract would show that hard work and application really does pay off.

Well done to both Armfield and Bower, as well as the CFC for getting these contracts done.
