Warner just wants us to have a black tie dinner and invite everyone to heal the wounds and move forward together. Doesn’t really matter how many times you celebrate them pregame there’s always another exclusive dinner you could organise for $500 a ticket…

He loves tearing into poorly administered organisations, wrote the book on it. The boys club isn’t a bad read.

The boys club was an excellent read and he was very harshly treated by the afl, but I think warner has changed a bit since COVID, become a bit conspiratorial (probably after the Sun got him to pump out article re sekta/andrews/stairs while the footy was on hiatus) and all his afl articles have an anti-establishment crackpot vibe now.

Anyway his piece has had the desired effect amongst some fans (probably could post this image in delusional pearlers too lol)

I’m concerned we’re looking at a Paul Little led coup being plotted behind the scenes at the moment.

They’ll be getting ready, we start the year off poorly and they will come. If I had to guess; it would be installing Welsh as President, Little in a VP role and you know who being made coach.

Feel like he is a bit of a pariah in the footy world (he doesnt even have AFL accreditation) so I dont think this run of articles from him holds as much weight as when Caro/Robbo ran with these sorts of boardroom fall out type stories in previous years.

Have you read the boys club? The whole premise is that it’s the stuff the afl’s boys club didn’t want made public. You reckon they were going to accredit him after that?

I don't mind who the next president is, as long as they stay the course in rebuilding the club so we're able to eventually compete with the best on and off the field. And as long as they don't bring back Hird, Dodo or Sheedy into the club in any capacity.

Zach leaving won’t destroy the club but it really should not expect things to get better on its own. Zach leaving is a just another reality check in a whole series of reality checks and I hope that there is a real paradigm shift/epiphany moment with some of the decision makers.

Rebuilding takes time, especially considering we were so far behind in pretty much every area at the club before the current leaders took over.

As someone else said, everyone knows we need to bottom out and rebuild, but no one has the patience to go through a rebuild. So when we start to bottom out people freak out and there's another push to change all the leaders yet again. We're basically stuck on a hampster wheel.

Yeah I know what you mean, sorry I meant because of that he is on the outside now so I dont think he gets the inside word from Board Members/Coterie types. Hes the opposite of Caro/Robbo, not sucking up to the powers that be to get good intel but that means he doesnt have much influence.

Kicking sideways is the outcome because we have limited speed to break open games. Limited marking power in front of the footy.
Good sides do not do it much as they have the players able to take the game on.

We do not train sideways kicking.

Seriously the only way we will ever break free of “Essendon” is to round up the likes of Robbo, Little, Dodoro and Sheedy and commit them.

Hird Little Sheeds Dodoro and all the other little ex Essendon and old ceos GMs Board members etc are to blame for the absolute failure that is known as the EFC

They had there time they failed so sick and tired of reading these garbage articles and posts from older EFC supporters who have had their fill of success while the younger members have not the entitlement is off the charts the club is being fixed currently the reason its taking so long is because of how deep the garbage is of those who came before
