Found this link back in the old thread. Might’ve changed his mind of course but he doesn’t seem particularly pro-Hird in that article. Would like to eventually see Hird coach again, but stresses the importance of working his way back up by being an assistant somewhere etc.

Thought so, but considering what’s gone on over the last month in particular and the fact that Welsh met with Merrett, wondered whether this would be the move to keep a board challenge at bay

This was always going to happen, especially with the way Barham took over. The old guard were waiting for the earliest opportunity to strike. To say it’s not coterie driven seems highly doubtful. If it’s not coterie members, they’ll be coterie puppets. Can’t wait to see who the former player is.
