It is a great jumper isn't it? Really happy the Reds got up. They play great rugby in every sense. Can break open a game with amazing running but can also squeeze out a tight game when needed to (like last night). Really are the best team in the comp and fully deserved to win it.

Crusaders were deserving of a win too as they had to play every game this year away from home (they played "home" games at Nelson which is quite a way away from Christchurch - the earthquake destroyed their home ground). To travel all over the world (even played in England one week) and not get any home games yet still make the final is a remarkable effort. One any AFL team would be immensely proud of (while the S15 comp is already played over 3 countries).

Really hope the Wallabies follow on from this. I'm going over the NZ for Australia vs Ireland in the World Cupin September with 3 mates. I originally organised for 2 mates to go for their combined 21st present and wasn't going myself but have just this week organised for me and my best mate to go too. Cannot wait. Parents jumped on board and said they;d count it as my 21st present too.

It was the final Bedford, so if it's ever going to get press it would be today. Plus it was an Australian side winning so there is more reason to report it.

For regular season rugby got stuff all press when I lived in Melbourne. Not sure if it's still the same but lucky to get half a page.

Was thinking of going over for the Calcutta Cup clash between Scotland vs England at Eden Park, but ticket prices were out of my price range for a weekend trip over.

Still will be a great game to watch and hope Scotland beat the bitches from the South:D

It must have got a bit more this year with the Rebels coming in, but can't imagine it would dominated the papers or airwaves.

World Cup is in 2 months so get ready to cover your ears, bedford.

Not to much press on the game itself however the antics of Danny Cipriani gets bucket loads of it. Im sure those half hearted in sport probably think he's an AFL player by the amount of newspaper/radio time he gets.

No net connection in Mortlake makes, Wolfie go something, something. :o :(

Luke Rounds is going to be a star for Collingwood, mark my word!!! I am officially number one on his bandwagon.

HI ALL!

Someone must have been rooting for me because it crapped down snow in Queenstown. 75cm in the week I was there - it was snowing every single night, I felt like I was in a snow globe :D

I've basically been isolated from footy since last week's game.. frustrating >: (

Pretty much aced my exams which I'm super happy about. Now I have 2 weeks of absolutely nothing to do. Amazing :')

Oh.. what's changed around here?

The opening line might cause a stir

Haha, that's the way I read it first time. Had to have a 2nd look.

Congrats on the exam results. Got mine back and did well enough too. Did quite well in 3 of them and passed the one I was dreading to get back so I'll take that.

so its my best friends 23rd on saturday night not a big birthday to celebrate shes having a theme which another friend picked (which i hate and will not dress up as) but i know that footy is the next day (doing auskick) so ive just quietly mentioned to her and a few others that i wont be getting dressed up and will only be having one or two drinks before i leave plan to go around 11ish and now im getting told by everyone that im making footy a priority before my friends and that i being selfish its really hurt my feelings that my friends are saying this footy/working for the afl is my passion and a priority to me its not like im not going to the party at all and its not a huge milestone birthday either am i wrong?

Your not wrong to focus on getting your job for the AFL and hence wanting have a quiet night rather than a big one is understandable. You have to explain this to your friends that yes you are focusing on Footy but you still want to be involved with them hence why you are going to the party. Also it might help to grin and bare dressing up for the night but still having a quiet and early night. Just because your focusing on your career doesn't mean you have to miss out on having fun even if you have to do something you don't to do, your friends won't think of you being selfish then.

Plus you can pay them back on your Birthday;)

Remember "Stand your ground but always be willing to concede some to gain plenty in return"
