6/7 people have to every year.

These two were given's, the writing was on the wall in Round 2.

Football fans are too sentimental these days, I'm sick of reading how players deserve another year on the list. These two were grade A rubbish, and they were given ample opportunity to show us something...anything.

Thanks but see you later boys.

I don't disagree, both are rubbish. Who's stupid idea was it to elevate Bode form the rookie list?

BUT, i know that with new draftees that you have to offer them a minimum 2 year deal and i'm yet to see anyone tell that the same rule doesn't apply to elevated rookies. If the rule holds true for rookies, then unfortunatley Bode has another year to run on his contract. Here's hoping that it doesn't!!

Its been long said that to get some one of note in the draft you need to give up some one. We should look at trading either McLean or Sylvia ( or both) to secure a player like Kerr. Good clubs make the tough calls. Maybe its time we started doing the same.

I suppose it could be possible, but at the same time rookies already have contracts with the club, so it is also possible they don't count as 'new' draftees.

Why trade our best player in Brock McLean and Colin Sylvia who has just started to show that he can really play the game for a 25 year old Daniel Kerr? Without Judd and Cousins to take the main taggers Kerr has pretty much become your run of the mill midfielder.

Yeah and then we should trade Colin Garland for Barry Hall, and get rid of Cale Morton to free up room for Ben Cousins.

We are rebuilding, trading one of the key parts of that process to get a middle-aged player seems totally non-sensical to me. It isn't even partly aligned to the club's current direction.

The only way that may assist is creating a bit of media attention for the club, but it certainly isn't a move to assist our long-term future.

You term it a tough call, I would call it a stupid one. However, everyone is entitled to their opinion.

Newly elevated rookies sign to a 2-year deal, so unless we pay him out his 60k or so he'll be with us next year.

***I was also wondering what the deal is with the pay of our PP between rounds 1 and 2, will he get the pay of a round 1 pick or the pay of a 2nd rounder?***

Zzzz.

So much wrong with everything this guy says.

They shouldn't be.

That's what i thought, so unless we can manage to trade Bode (Pick 97 anyone?) then he'll be around next year.

Regarding the priority pick, the first round ends after the team who finished in first takes their pick(or whoever it was traded to), so while the priority is between rounds logic would suggest that they'd be paid at a second round rate.

Imagine the 'new' method of delisting - instead of the club telling them they aren't wanted, the bouncers come and kick them out of the pub on Mad Monday. Then lay into them on behalf of all football fans.

There is a game show in that for Channel 9.

Well, Mad Monday could actually enhance the performance of some of our players if they were to play the following day.
True that.
