I come in peace. This is not a troll. This is a friendly post to all the Essendon faithful that frequent Bay13.
Guys, it is time to be serious. I understand that every supporter feels they have a duty to stick up for their club when something is said that they dont like to hear. But it really has gone too far.
It is now time to accept that Essendon are in a lot of trouble. Just hear me out.
There is no point in telling us that you have 'great young talent' coming through, when we all know this is simply not the case. There is no doubt that when you type out all thse things to pump up your club and the youngsters, that you feel a little silly saying it, cos you know its not true. And thats ok.
Like I said, every supporter must stick up for their club. But its time to be a bit more realistic.
Here is an example I would liek to share with you/
If myself or another poster were to say - "Stanton is a dud, gets cheap kicks, and always butchers the ball. He is bloody hopeless, Essendon are stuffed if he is their future"
Now, a predictable response from a Bomber fan would be - "Thats a bit rich coming from a (insert team here) supporter, seeing as how you guys have no decent talent. Stanton would be captain at your club, he is a gun. Still young and will win a Brownlow one day."
Now, Essendon faithful. Here is how you SHOULD respond, keeping in mind that the charade is over and its now time to be realistic and face the fatcs.
The real response should be - "Yes, Stanton is an awful footballer, much like the rest of the kids on our squad. It is unlikely that we will get anything in trade week for him, so delisting is the best option. Same goes for Reimers, Ryder, Houli, Pears, Myers, Gumbelton and Aarons brother, I forget his name. We have drafted poorly for the last decade, and we dont have one good kid to show for it. And to top it off, Matthew Knights is our coach. It sucks to be a Bomber supporter."
Thanks for reading this guys, I hope you take this on board and answer from your heart from now on. Its much better to be honest, than to say things you dont truly believe. The above example should be printed out and stuck on your wall, as a gentle reminder next time you go to pump up Essendons future.
All the best and speak soon,
SP
Sure you can class it as bullying but it is fun playing around with an easy victim. Do they actually have anything on Essendon at all?seriously why are you people still replying to super_flog???

The past is the past, and is as relevant as 2000.Going back over 50 years. Good for you mate![]()
A week ago is very different to 80 years ago. A decade ago is very different to 50 years ago. You get the point. There comes a point when the past becomes irrelevant. The past is the past, and is as relevant as 2000.

My dad was actually 11 for the 1957 grand final(good memories), and 18 for the 1964 grand final. Thanks anywayMost of us saw the 2000 GF. I went to it. I'm doubtful even your parents were alive to see Melbournes last flag.
