Good afternoon ladies & gents. Not a heap to report on from training this morning, but will give a bit of a rundown on a few players who featured in today's session. Hurley, Daniher & H.Slattery I didn't visibly see out on the ground today; along with Hille, Bellchambers, Laycock & Gumbleton obviously after their injury set-backs. Magin & Carroll were running along the boundary during today's session.
Fletcher looks to have overcome his fibula injury, and looks set to take on the Dees. Was punching the ball 20m today and was moving around quite freely. Trained whole session.
Welsh trained the whole session and looked like a man on a mission. After making that conclusion at Windy, getting back and seeing on the EFC website he is using Rama as his inspiration to comeback in a successful manner seems 100% correct. Was running the lines nicely on a few drills but isn't quite 100% yet naturally.
Prismall trained the entire session and looked comfortable digging into the drills. Got his hands dirty a few times, seemed to move freely and after his first match back for the Bombers against the Crows; I suspect he's only a match or two away from his best.
Neagle was moving freely and had no sign of niggling injuries for once. Had about half a dozen shots on goal, and nailed every one of them through the middle from about 50. His kicking is unarguably brilliant, just needs to get that work-rate up in a match to get a few touches and stamp his authority on a match or two.
Winderlich & Reimers both trained the entire session but didn't run it out strongly I thought. Were good early on in the morning, but seemed to die off a bit towards the rear end of it.You could say the same thing for McVeigh, but he looked like he was just out their relaxing a little this morning so not sure what to take away from that.
Noticed a few disposable errors coming from the boots of T.Slattery & Dyson this morning, but their enthusiasm was visible so they're on the right track.
Lovett & Dempsey seemed to kick and mix a lot with each other, creating a little bit of a 'brotherhood' feel. Don't mind that, creates some doubts into oppositions minds when messing with a Bomber. Both trained as expected, and would expect both to play & play well.
McPhee was mentoring TysonSlatts throughout a few of the drills, teaching him different variations of certain drills. Nice to see a bit of communication within the group there.
Pears & Hooker both trained well, and again impressed me. Hooker looks a fairly big unit if you compare him to what he looked like last year, and looks to have nailed down a few of his disposal issues. Pears again looked all class, nothing but praise for him. Good on both feet, looked sharp.
Lloydy was Lloydy. Trained well, kicked well and presented well. Will be hoping for some nice delivery into the forwardline tomorrow, so he can put his name back up in lights where it belongs.
