Hey all, had a guest speaker at training tonight that shared a story with us that i thought would be of some interest to you.
The speaker was an ex oakleigh chargers coach.He talked of the rivalry between eastern ranges and oakleigh chargers (tac teams in under 18 vic come) and how in recent years eastern had comprehensively physically smashed the chargers every time without fail both, including on the scoreboard. This had been apparently going on several years until an unassuming Bonadio decided to draw the proverbial line in the sand.
He apparently went out and accounted for 4 opposition players in the first half all of whom left the ground on a stretcher,from good fair solid byron picket like bumps. He changed the match and the chargers came out victors in an unlikely result. Since this day the chargers have allegedly had the edge on eastern and Bonadio has become some what of a cult hero down there.The ex coach said that with this kids mindset and passion for the game...he WILL go on to be an elite player.
Thought this was just another thing you crow fans have got to look forward to in coming years.....good luck for the rest of the season, a flag must be on the cards!

Reckon the Weed should try him @ CHB. That way Jericho doesn't have to play @ CHB (stupid, stupid, stupid!) & can play on-ball/forward (when he gets fit).

completely agree - no point having a guy that big sitting in the goal square if the ball isn't coming up there

Jericho should be at FF and young Bonny at CHB give them some presence

Yeh thats a good idea. West are struggling so he will see more of the ball at CHB. It will be a good chance to get his confidence up and give him a few touches, Weed could always chuck him forward if need be.

Craigy seems to like players who are hard at the contest and have a bit of fire in their belly - Thompson, Gibson, Maric, VB, Hinge etc etc. Happy Days.

Correct. Bryce bite him on the thigh when going for one of his runs.
Will be a big boy when he grows up. Just wish someone would get to him about his marking. But larger players take longer to develop. Hope this boy makes it because ....................nope wont put the moker on him.

You should see his younger brother, he's bloody massive. His dad reckons he will be even bigger than his older sibling.
