Bucks is obviously doing a lap of honour this weekend, do you think the Carlton fans will boo or applaude one of the games greatest players.
Collingwood fans stood and applauded Kouta for his lap do you expect the same from the Blues fans???

I wouldn't see why we would boo him. It's not the players we hate its the fans and the club itself.:p

anyone who boo's is a ____

he was a great player and a (albeit colingwood) joy to watch in full flight. Bit of respect is always in vogue.

i wouldnt boo him..

but im sure u remember the treatment one of the other 'games greatest players' judd got in the first game this year from you and your fellow supporters..and i wouldnt be surprised or shocked or appauled if anyone boo's him..

IMO you shouldn't boo an out and out champion of the game like Bucks. I've sworn at him and called him all manner of names while he was playing, but there is now way I'm going to boo him during his lap of honour.

Whether Carlton fans boo him or not isn't really an issue with me and I'm sure Bucks wouldn't be overly concerned either but surely you can concede that these 2 circumstances are totally different.

Booing a retired player during their lap of honor is not comparable to booing a current player that shunned your club months earlier.

I would like to think that no-one will boo bucks, he was a great player and he's not the enemy now, so i hope he's gets the recognition he deserves. Also he seems to be generous with his comments towards Carlton during games, which is a nice change. But as soon as that sirens gone anyone in black and white is fair game. Game on.

Jimmy im pretty sure Chris Judd was not doing a lap of honour at the time but actually playing the game. I personally don't boo or bag any opposition im a lover of the game and a supporter not a negative person, but Bucks copped it from your lot during his days on the field just wondering what the decent Carlton fans think of a true legend doing a lap of honour prior to your team taking on the old arch rivals.

I promise when Juddy does a lap around the MCG before a Carlton and West Coast game in 10 years I will clap to.

Booing Buckly is a sign of no class. Simple as that.

Beat me to it.

Any follower of any club can appreciate how good Buckley was. The bloke was also good enough to say at Kouta's testimonial that he was the best player of his era when in full flight (ie including Buckley). That's a touch of class.

good to hear guys.

I really hope he gets the respect he deserves, just like kouta did last year

no i would never boo him, every carlton supporter better not boo him and we'll be booed ourselves
hes a champion, whether it was collingwood or carlton

i was there when kouta did his lap of honour, and loved the respect that the pies supporters gave him, so i can only show the same appreciation towards one of their fellow champions.

Have i missed something??

Why is Bucks doing a lap of honour at round 12??

What he said.

The Collingwood fans gave Kouta a standing ovation. Carlton fans will reply in kind. Bucks knew he was good because he was. Champion. That is all.

No. I feel sorry for the guy. He spent almost his entire career at a pathetic successless, excuse-ridden mess of a Club. If he stayed at Brisbane, he would have played in 2-3 premierships. :)

If I am seated at the ground I will respectfully acknowledge a champion of the game, but I imagine I'll be in line at the bar until pretty close to the siren...

BTW your avatar is good....

mine is better :D

No, no one should lower themselves to that, that's typical Collingwood supporter stuff...

Just what I was thinking. Pies supporters boo Judd just cause he plays for Carlton. Thats pathetic, he is a champion of the game.
I will not be booing Bucks, he was a champion of the game. Deserves applause only.

Whilst most of your one eyed biased comments are entertaining the above just lacks class. You sound like the type of person who would crack jokes at a funeral. :thumbsd:

if i was going to the game, i would applaud him, he was one of the games greats, who left the bears to go to the pies to play in a premiership side. lol. the lions won 3.
but bucks was a champian, well done on ur achievments buddy!
