2020 is when we will be a contender to make finals 10 -13 wins

2019 7-9 wins

Our list age average will be younger, start of next year, than at the start of this year

2020, sticking to this prediction

I'm quite excited by our group & can see quite a few players have a breakout year and take it to the next level
At least 3 out of these players:
SPS - more consistent out of the backline
Martin - happier player, new level
Setters - he'll be a star for us, 2020 is his pivotal year
McGovern - best shape he has ever been in
Dow, LOB, Fisher - one will jump up
Cuningham or Williamson - one will surprise us by being injury free

The success of the Stocker Live Trade will encourage more teams to take advantage of the option next season.
Cripps won’t get tagged, too hard to stop - Fisher, LOB, SPS and Dow will be the targets ... until Setterfield plays.
Our forward line will go from bottom three to top three for points scored in one season.
Bolton to have his contract extended before the season finishes.
Blues will have at least three AA players in the squad of 40, two will make the team.
Depending on other results, we will be a mathematical chance to make the eight with five rounds to play.
Walsh will win the RS award
You win some, others make you look stupid

Levi will finish his career being a one Club player in 2022 and be the #1 forward during this whole time .

Might need some adjusting since he is also now required to be the #1 defender as well. :moustache:

Going balls deep here, let's see how it goes:

Saints to surprise everyone in 2020 and make the 8.

Blues to make top 4 in 2020 provided injuries hold off, aka no more pre-season ending injuries to key personnel (currently McKay, Curnow are laid out)

Curnow won't play in 2020 as the club tries to manage his knee for future seasons, to avoid it being the end of his career a la Adam Cooney.

Geelong won't make top 4 in 2020 despite the home ground advantage they enjoy.

We will beat Richmond in round 1 2020.

Betts will kick 40+ goals in 2020.

*Finish Home & Away season with 12 wins with a percentage of 104% ...
*Will finnish ahead of GCS MELB SYD STK FREM NTH ADEL ESS HAW ...
*Cripps Jones Weitering all AA ...
*Youngsters - Walsh Setterfield Fisher SPS Curnow McKay Cuningham Jack Williamson Marchbank to take it to the next level and begin the next wave coming through ...
*VFL side to have a better year with 10 wins plenty of exceptional games from a nucleus of Dow O'Brien Gibbons Stocker DeKoning Kennedy Macreadie Silvagni Pittonett Cottrell ...
*Play a brand of footy that will have us starting to cause teams some headaches ...

2020, sticking to this prediction

I agree, as per my post below.

Long term view, as I posted in a different thread earlier this year:

2018 - .122 = 2-3 wins
2019 - .341 = 7-8 wins
2020 - .634 = 13-14 wins

Good thread Arr0w - looking forward to revisiting down the track.

We will need some luck to fall our way, but I absolutely think finals are achievable as soon as next season.

I reckon we emerge from this year as one of the most enjoyable teams to watch, and a strong tip for finals in 2021.

Finals would be an amazing achievement in 2020, and it’s possible, but no anger if it doesn’t happen this year. 9-12th is ok and where i’ll set my prediction, anything below is disappointing considering our talent and emerging depth.

We beat Collingwood.

Wietering and Jones announce themselves as one of the best pairings in the business.

JSilvagni and Gibbons continue to prove that smarts and effort mean far more than where you were picked.

Charlie’s body becomes a genuine concern, but McGovern and Casboult fill the void.

Kreuzer shows that, in many ways, he is just as important to us as Cripps.

Setterfield emerges as a potential Cripps peer.

We remember how good Eddie is at hitting up leads, not just the crumbing stuff.

We begin to be considered a tough, physical opponent.

You’ve earned these next several seasons ‘baggers. Enjoy them. 👍

JW to go to another level.

He’s bigger and better than the blokes he plays on, with those telescopic arms will be pulling in 10 marks a game.

Setters and Cuners to be genuine match influencers.

Gibbons established as a first 18 pick.

Plenty to like next year.

Round 1- We beat the Tiges and announce ourselves as a genuine force.
We go on to win 13 games and play finals.
Walsh wins the Chas, in only his second season.
Cripps comes third.
Stocker plays 20 games and comes third in the Rising Star.
Cunners wins goal of the year.
B and F !st--Walsh 2nd--Cripps 3rd--Setters 4th--S.P.S. 5th--Stocker

Charlie will be the best roaming forward in the game 2019.
Think he would have easily been amongst the best if he hadn’t injured himself. I can’t wait to see him back in the side...he will make a mockery of defenders now that we have a more offensive game style.
