Level 23 Hunter with a Corrosive attack bloodwing here:D

Oh and it was a safety first sign, not a slippery when wet sign

fmng5x.jpg

Lol that's the guy, yeah I got the Corrosive attack going for my deployable turret.

holy shit this game gets crazy to the max in co-op!

had a level 8, a level 18 and a level 35 join into my single player game (since i decided to host and see if anybody wanted to join) and it was absolutely hectic as all hell!
the fights are so fast and frantic!

the level 8 started as level 4 in the room but ranked up INSANELY quickly with all of the teams high level kills for his low level....had to revive him about 10 times+ but i didn't mind that much since the other two guys were good

you rank up so much quicker in co-op and get such better stuff

going to have my single player game open for co-op until i beat the thing now i think...don't know what took me so long to do it!

btw i'm now a level 15 siren

think i might change my character though since i never seem to use the sirens ability.....

You have to unlock it as a skill

what...the ability to change character?

i don't mind staying the siren though i shoulda probably gone the hunter if i knew you couldn't shoot while in super fast mode which is why i chose her in the first place....
i don't even know what you can actually do with her super speed thingo besides melee from behind (which stops it prematurely)

it's actually quite weird....oh well....i don't really need it anyways lol

i think the hunter is a specialist in the assault and smg type guns as well as having a bird of prey as a special or something like that?
he woulda suited me better for sure.

Nah soldier is the assault guy, and siren is the smg specialist. My guy is a hunter, and he's a sniper and pistol specialist.

The bloodwing bird of prey special skill has got me out of trouble many a time

ohhhhhh ok, well if that's the case i'm happy with the siren since the smg is the gun i use the most :D

He's still not too shabby with the SMG. I found a new one called "The Spy" (guns with actual names rather than for eg "PZZ 20 Sniper" seem to kick arse) which is like a scoped P90 and its a killer

I had to go back to fyrestone on a mission and decided to test it on some skags. With the pups its "pap!" one shot kill, adults take 2 or 3. Pretty cool, poor little buggers run at you all confident only to be exploded into a million bits of meat.

hahahahaha!

i love doing that

the smg i have at the moment is kinda like that to...though the accuracy isn't fantastic (something like 77) it's pretty damn powerful for my level and the fire rate is very fast (even faster since i've fully upgraded fire rate) and it pretty much sets them on fire from every bullet :D

poor lil skags....feel sorry for them :o

So I'm guessing I should get this game? I thought Fallout 3 was great but also didn't end up finishing it like camo...

What the ****?!

Anyway, this game sounds rad^sick; I'm gunna finish Uncharted 2 then take it back and (when I get back from holiday) get this bad boy.

Yeah you'll love it mang. Only problem is it lacks is the old school soundtrack as you're killing dudes and shit.

The story isn't as strong as fallout but it's got that same addictive quality. One of those games where you start playing and its like "I'll just do one more mission....oh i'll just check out what's over that hill..." and then it's 2am

I did love that soundtrack though :(

Just found a porno mag in a bandits home called "Heavy Fire" with a nude fat chick on the front and the caption "300 pounds of oomph"

Cool game:D

Loving it so much. I am a level 27 siren now and I maxed out the elemental path. I can basically phase into an area shock away their shields, come out of stealth with a corrosive explosion (which amplifies damage to them) and then when I dropped 1 of them I get to set everyone alight. It is crazy.

Love the variety of guns. My favourite gun, although it was flawed was this crazy SMG that had an attack of (22*4) which means that it shot 4 bullets at a time, it also had no accuracy and fast reload. You could mow down anyone at close range and I would frequently get headshots when I was shooting at the chest. But the problem is you never have enough ammo for it seriously I could chew through 600 rounds in a few minutes.

Found a sniper last night with 229 damage, 95 accuracy, 1.5 rate of fire, 9 shot mag AND a 3x multiplier chance of producing an explosion. It's basically like having a sniper rifle rocket launcher, they never know what hit em:D

Jeez, just killed the level 15 Roid Rage Psycho in Sledges safehouse after like 3 deaths! I battled hard. Problem was I was trying to use the rocket launcher I found to kill him when the rockets would just zoom past him!
Oh yeah, neat trick (don't know if it only works on PC or not), but if you jump into a vehicle and then out you'll regain some hp, so just keep doing that to get full hp.

What happens when you die in this game?

Do you lose your weapon?

You go back to the last New you point. It will cost you money and that amount changes each time.

Do you lose your weapon?

A lot like Bioshock, you are regenerated at a New-U station, which are generally located not too far from your place of death. You keep all your weapons and items, and all the guys you've killed up to then in that area remain dead.

But unlike bioshock, you can't take a bit of health off a enemy, die, then come back and pick up where you left off. They always seem to regenerate full health and shields when you die. Good thing really, stops you running in wildly to take off a few hit points and repeatedly dying in a chipping away process, like you could in Bioshock.

I think, don't quote me, that the price you have to pay for dying is a percentage of your cash at the time. If you have a lot of cash, expect to pay up. A death cost me something like 14k last night, out of about 150k. Only costs a few hundred at the start

You also get a chance at a "Second wind" in this game. If you lose all your hit points, it goes into a last stand mode, ala COD4. The screen gets progressively darker as you bleed out, and your movement is restricted, but if you manage to take a guy down while in this mode you get a portion of health and shield back. Makes you breathe a sigh of relief when you pull it off. Especially when you manage to kill a boss who's taken you down 6 times in a row, by just taking of those last couple of HP.

Yeah I like that they didn't go down the Bioshock path, it made taking out Big Daddy's too easy by doing multiple kamikaze attacks.
