Nah, you can't team kill in Borderlands, thankfully. Can only dual, but that only works when each person participates in meleeing the other then you enter the dual dome.

The whole 'Hiding' thing was me using this amazing thing in the game called 'Cover', never thought that would be used in a game, amazing. Also I stood back from a few contests simply because I was not at a high enough level to take on the opponents, we stupidly went into mission which we were massively overlevelled for us. We backed out of one against level 18's. I had the lowest level because I had only started an hour or two earlier so was naturally not going to be going into every contest head first.

Now I'm up to level 16 with 3 of the best weapons I could hope for at the moment, including an AWESOME detonator Sniper with 130+ damage(Which I got outside of the co-op). Will also have a huge 160+ damage Sniper unlocked in another level or so. So I can handle myself well now.

I have to say that after playing the game it is VERY fun and I don't think I'll be taking it back now and will be trying to get a few of my mates into it to co-op with them as there is a huge amount of fun to be had from as much co-op as possible. The comparisons to Fallout 3 for mine are a bit non-existent as they really feel like different games. Borderlands is an FPS centric game built on the co-op and weapon collecting with a high focus on action, I have to say that each time I see a Weapons box I am in anticipation as to what will be in there.

We're level 20, 19 and 19 together now.

We make such an awesome team, much better than when Hutchie is with us .

We finally beat Sledge and got a gold trophy for it, felt pretty rewarding. Then we found some kick arse guns. This one shock rifle I found took out caMos shield in one shot and then killed him in two shots. It's bloody powerful, then I found a rocket launcher with 250 damage, that did a lot against Sledge.

Already 40% of the trophies and we're not even out of Fyrestone yet.

Yea, that time around was much, much better.

We've levelled up a bit and got better weapons and skills, and are a lot more effective at using them as a team.

Last time that Sledge w***er, we couldn't even get anywhere near him, today, we smashed his mates and then took him apart with ease.

LOL, yeah I know. Looking now it's actually a 193 damage. But for level 16 that is pretty damn good, especially when looking at some of the others for around 10 levels higher than mine. Although I hope I can trip over that 619 damage gun that Hawks_Time has!

Maybe huge for my level is the better term?

you make it sound like we struggled against sledge...we beat him pretty much instantly

the last time when we went in there and all you guys were like level 13 and 14 i told us to leave because you's weren't at the level for it (i was barely at it) so it was always going to be borderline impossible with only my guns doing damge to them and the increased difficulty that comes with the co-op

and that shock rifle is cool but don't make it sound like we had a real duel and you won you douche!
you asked to test it out and i never shot a bullet hahaha
also that was cool with your healing by shooting at me lol

Great game this. Only level 11 so far but it's been a while since I had that, 'just 10 more minutes' feeling.

I'd compare this to the closest thing to a Diablo style FPS (in a Fallout style envirnoment).
Same action orientated, co-op encouraging, NPC as signposts but who cares lets get back to the action, phat loot collecting game.

There's a 53MB patch out for PS3 owners and it stuffs up online play. Makes it unbelievable laggy and the framerate seems to have dropped.

Wouldn't be the first time this has happened to a PS3 game, making online unbearable (ie LittleBigPlanet).

Not just happening to me either, happened to caMo as well.

Yeah I have finished it. TBH it is a crap ending. But interestingly after that you get to keep your character and fight through the campaign with all the creatures leveled up. I currently have a level 40 siren and a level 13 bezerker which I have just started with.

Anyway is anyone here running it on XBox?

Yeah, I just finished it like 10 minutes ago. The ending, as a story, wasn't great but I did like the boss fight.

On the patch thing it says theyre aware that on the PS3 its not uncommon for the frame rate and ping to go to shit when 3 or more players are in, and they're working on it ASAP.

it works really well with the long range power and up close smg action especially since you're a crack shot and that sniper i left for you is so ridiculously good for our level (i shoulda taken it haha)

i just suggest play with whatever weapons you're best with as i havnt' noticed any huge difference...
just that naturally im best with a smg or assault rifle which is why i use them most.

i'm finding as you level up and get more elemental weapons her chance of setting them on fire/corroding/electrocuting increases compared to the other guys....especially when you choose it as an upgrade with skill points.

I think you should stick to smgs and then use the other weapons when appropriate as when you get class mods you can get +40% smg damage which really makes your smgs unbelievebly powerful. Besides there is a variety of smgs that offer some flexibility such as some smgs that are as effective as a shot gun at close range as well as some that are more accurate than some sniper rifles. Also if you plan on using elemental weapons a lot smgs are a good choice given their high rate of fire makes it more likely for the effect to activate.

Cheers. I wasn't too sure as my other Soldier character was best with CRifles and Shotguns, so I used them predominantly, whereas Liliths is just 'elemental weapons'.

I think your specialty just increases your stats for a particular weapon. Given an elemental SMG, Lilith will get get greater accuracy and effect than say the Hunter with the same gun.

That said, if you find a sniper with great stats, she'll use it fine. Just as my hunter is fine with a good assault rifle even tho it's not his specialty

atm one of my sniper rifles which i got earlier has a very high chance to ignite enemies.
add to that my sirens artifact which adds 40% fire damage and the fact its damage dealing is over 230 and you have a major freakon weapon of doom here.
it's been a 1 shot kill against almost every enemy lighting practically 100% of them being hit by it on fire.....EASILY my best weapon at level 25.

i've come across plenty of weapons with 500+ damage (rocket launchers) but to me they are garbage.
i take them out quicker with an smg with only 45 damage.

Yeah, I've found the same thing. I hardly used the rocket launchers unless I was under some pressure and I pull out and use every high powered weapon I have.
