Considering the overall wackiness of the game's humor and exaggerated style of death and gore, it's fair to say this game isn't meant to be taken seriously. That became more obvious after Gearbox made available the first bit of downloadable content (DLC) called The Zombie Island of Dr. Ned, an inane romp through Halloween-themed territory where you fought giant pumpkin-headed bosses and suicide zombies. It's a theme that continues into Mad Moxxi's Underdome Riot, the second piece of DLC, but it may not be the experience you'd expect, in more ways than one.

Doesn't seem so. Strange considering they should expect most to be up to level 50 by the time this one is out.

I have got my character Mordecai to level 42, hit level 50 and I get the Platinum.

Also while I was checking my trophies the other day I noticed some new ones which refer to the soon to be released DLC, then they disappeared but they were back again last time I checked. I will get the new DLC but a level increase would be nice.

Hmm, tricky. I suppose there is also the option of repeating the same class except going with a different build. You can't maximize all skills by the time you're at level 50 so it might be interesting to go with something different.

A negative of this game is that I have no idea how far in I am. There is the mission list, all the challenges etc

the challenges are good, otherwise you get r*ped in the main story.

besides, my favourite thing about the game is how much there is to do (I don't mind a bit of grinding)

Yep, that's the one. Charges a fee for it though.

The bulletin board missions are your side challenges, the main story missions are ones given to you by NPC's, although there's a few side missions amongst them too.

No such thing as getting bogged down in side missions really, the higher in level you are before taking on the bosses, the better, and you'll only jump levels by doing side missions
