Will be a very good HFF FP that will be his role for the rest of his career wont have the body to ever play a perminent Midfield role just to light

Can Brad turn into a gun midfielder?
Has he got the tools?

I reckon he can with his Fantastic Kicking Skills and Speed but needs to be more size then he is now

Maybe in bursts. I couldnt see him there on a permanent basis. Possibly after he gets afew preseasons under his belt, but hes a long way off atm. Up forward is where he belongs at this point in time.

Put him in the midfield for any real length of time and he will pick up injuries quicker than Mr. Glass.
Mr. Glass would arrange to have every other AFL midfielder on a trainwreck so that he could get a gig. ;)

If he were to play further up the ground I'd play him as a wing man, that way he can play an outside role and use his pace and his skills, exploiting his opponents. He still probably needs a bit of size to do that though.
I'd look at playing him as a roaming half forward, let him play up the ground much like medhurst plays the role of setting up goals within the 50 Dick could play that same role from beyond the arc hitting up leading forwards.

Mr Glass? You mean Sean Rusling don't you?:p

Firstly he needs to put on bulk, but i doubt it.
He is only a light frame.

We know to win flags we must have hard bodied players especially in the midfield. If he bulks up a bit he can become a burst outside midfielder because of his speed, but no he can't play thick in the guts to lightly framed,i reckon.

As has been mentioned a lack of size and core strength will be an issue. I also think when you have totally outside midfielders you put to much pressure on too few in terms of getting the ball. Certainly playing high off a half foward flank getting more of the ball and putting it inside 50 is a good idea. Pinch hitting in the midfield sure but I think across the fowardline will be his main possie.

Aaron Davey has made the transition, so no reason Dick can't do the same

2 different players imo, Davey is a shorter, lower centre of gravity type which means it is easier for him to develop core strength. Dick is taller and much skinnier than what Davey was. Still think He'll play as a high half forward.

4cm difference in height, same weight already - Davey was 25 when he moved to the middle - Dick has 5 years until then and has a 3 year headstart on an AFL list.

Different players man, you'll find that the weight will be due to the height,
Davey is much more explosive also, he can break out of packs, Dick won't be able to do this, just my opinion though, I hope he can become tat sort of player because he has silky skills. Won't be a permanent fixture in the midfield though.

I guess he could, he's built very light, but he's got the speed. The question is why would you want to move him to the midfield? He's a very creative footballer, when he gets the ball he makes good use of it. Keep him up forward where he can do real damage. That X factor where he can pop up at any time and sneak through a goal or two is invaluable.

I was watching the Queens Birthday game a few days ago, and it reminded me just what he can do when he's switched on. He loves playing footy, and I reckon tries harder than just about anyone else on the ground, I hope for big things from Dicky next year. :)
