His 26.4 disposal average was ranked 7th in the league but only over a small period(7 games)Guaranteed? What makes you so sure?

He will no doubt have to deal with clubs' increased awareness of him and produce what he did last season week in week out for 22 weeks to keep that average.
I think we should all be stoked if can get around a 21-22 average.
Yeah, fair enough. He also said he was looking to build strength which may reduce his running power to a certain degree.
I don't know much about the fitness side of football, but I would have thought increased muscle mass increased power but decreased agility and endurance?
Maybe we want to talk about him but everytime we do we are just to overwelmed at how good he is lol.He is a gun brownlow in 2 years if he keeps this up!Maybe we are just in awe.
It's still hard to know how Dalziell's career will play out and I wouldn't be talking Brownlows at this point. He no doubt can find the ball with his impressive running but there are alot of guys who do this role and are never really considered elite.Maybe we want to talk about him but everytime we do we are just to overwelmed at how good he is lol.He is a gun brownlow in 2 years if he keeps this up!
I see what you mean considering he hasnt been tagged yet but when you think of a guy who hasnt got under 20 possesionsIt's still hard to know how Dalziell's career will play out and I wouldn't be talking Brownlows at this point. He no doubt can find the ball with his impressive running but there are alot of guys who do this role and are never really considered elite.

No second-year blues for Lion Dalziell
By Jason Phelan
11:22 AM Sat 28 February, 2009
LIONS midfielder Bradd Dalziell burst onto the scene in emphatic fashion late last season and now he plans to show he's no one-year wonder.
Dalziell averaged 26 possessions in a seven-game stint, earning a NAB AFL Rising Star nomination along the way.
Early signs suggest the 21-year-old will sustain that form, with an eye-catching 29-disposal performance in Friday night's NAB Cup quarter-final loss to the Bombers.
"I'm really happy with the way things are going at the moment. I really set myself for a big year and I think I've started well, but I've just got to keep it going," Dalziell said.
"A lot of people talk about second-year blues, but I want to come out and prove that wrong this year and make sure I can have two good years instead of one good year and then come back to the field.
"I've always been pretty confident in my ability growing up, but it's just about getting that chance to prove to people that I can play. I've been given that chance at Brisbane I'm going to try and make it pay dividends for the club."

Dalziel - The guy racks up the possessions but why do I get the feeling that other clubs are happy to let him have the ball in his hands. His penetration, damage and influence on the game is ZILCH. For a midfielder with his numbers last night, we should have iced the game by a fair margin. Vossy should get the old tapes of Cousins and sit Dalza in front of a TV and make him watch endlessly.
Dalziell gets so much uncontested ball he must be running opponents off their feet, particularly in the defensive half and I like his disposal....usually finds his man - I'm sure one day his role could be more of a goal oriented one - and he will deliver - still less than ten games at top level.
I think the Dalziell critics are being a bit unfair, Razzle is a link footballer who by hand or foot helps other break lines. He is also a release target, because the blokes works his bum off he is often the short pass target when there aren't any other options because he works his opponent over.
FUTURE STAR: BRADD DALZIELL
Dalziell burst onto the scene in round 16 last year, breaking the record for most disposals by a debutant (32 against West Coast). He proved he was not a one-hit-wonder by finishing the season well, averaging almost 27 possessions a game. In the 2009 NAB Cup, Dalziell has continued to rack up disposals at will, and with Simon Black due back by the start of the season-proper, he should be freed up even more.
is braddd still eligible to win the rising star this year?
Whats hit beep test score?
There’s no risk of second season blues for him. His ability to cover the ground is enormous and he can maintain speed for 120 minutes. We used him on a wing last season but he can give us more in other parts of the ground.

Dashing Dalziell feels at home
By Michael Whiting
7:57 AM Fri 27 March, 2009
EMERGING Brisbane Lions midfielder Bradd Dalziell says his Western Australian friendships will be put on hold when he takes to the Gabba against the Eagles on Saturday night.
Born and raised in WA, the super-fit 22-year-old will play his eighth senior game against the same team he debuted against in round 16 last year.
Dalziell was playing for East Fremantle in the WAFL less than two seasons ago, opposing some of the very players he will line up against on Saturday night.
''I'm playing against blokes I was playing with in the WAFL, so it's a little strange,'' he said.
''It feels like I'm back home playing footy. There's lot of familiar faces and lots of guys I respect, but at the end of the day it's a competition and I'm trying to win.
''It's all come from nowhere. In the space of a year I've gone from playing two or three games in the WAFL to playing in the AFL.
''It's been a massive jump and hopefully I can be a regular member of the team this year."
Dalziell's seven games last season were stunning, beginning with his 32-possession debut against the Eagles.
In that short space of time, averaging more than 26 touches a game, Dalziell quickly forged a reputation as the hardest-running Lion on the field.
He smashed Simon Black's club beep test record at his first attempt last season, but said the endurance was something that didn't come naturally.
''I was almost like the little fat kid at school but I did my knee when I was younger (15) and had to start working on my running as part of the rehab,'' he said.
''It started from there. It doesn't come as easy as some people think.
''I've probably worked on that gut-running a lot more (in the pre-season); really running hard when you're absolutely stuffed.''
Taken at number 52 in the 2007 draft, Dalziell has worked on his strength in the off-season and is gearing up to play any role from half-back, through the midfield, up to half forward.
He said the 'second-season blues' were not something that concerned him.
''I had a good season last year but this year is completely different and I have to start again,'' he said.
''It's (second-year blues) been thrown up a bit but I don't worry about it and nothing changes for me, I'll just go out there and do my job and not focus on that."
